Hope everyone has been able to get back to "normal" this weekend. We finally got power Friday night and have been having folks over to warm up and take showers. My eating and exercise has been lacking so back to the daily grind tomorrow.

I hope everyone is safe tonight, whether at home or at family/friends/hotel.

Tracie

I was lucky I guess and didn't lose power but my office was shut down most of last week and with all the ice I didn't leave the house for 4 days! Very glad it's over and just slush now.

Kitsap County area. never lost power. only lost 1 day of work. wasn't by choice it was shipyard closure. I got to go outside and walk in it a few times. Some peeps hate bad weather to excercise in, I love it. Speaking of that I need to invest in some Yak Trax....

We were one of the fortune ones to get power back early. Some of my friends are still without. We got about 2 feet of snow, and when that happens, Olympia basically shuts down :). I don't drive in the stuff so I relied on my fiancee to get where I needed to go, which was basically nowhere!

We were very lucky as we usually lose power and have heavier snow/ice hits - we did get a fair amount of snow but most of the big stuff was south this time. Power outages seemed to be north and south of us so we considered ourselves fortunate. Actually we passed several days at home w/o going out and, because we had power, we didn't get a bad case of cabin fever!! Having power also allowed me to continue working out at home since heading out to gyms etc was not in the cards. Some friends in Puyallup, Olympia, and Sea-Tac all got hit pretty hard - most have power back except maybe for Sea-Tac - haven't heard about that one yet. All in all, a nasty storm. Hopefully that will be it for the season!!
  • Just got power back last night! Was out for 4 days in Auburn, Whoo hoo!

We weren't out for a solid block of time but from Monday to Friday night we only had power about 4 hours total. They'd get it back on and then another tree would go down. Today was the first day my husband could get out of our driveway without chaining up! My exercise was pretty much nonexistent because I do it in the garage and it was pitch black out there! Eating was awful because we pretty much scrounged what we could find and stuck with convenient things. We do have a generator so I was able to get online and not mess up my record. Today has me at 385 days. I would have been sad to have to start over at zero! Now to get off my lazy behind and go workout. :)
