So I was thinking, until this group expands we could meet up and do things like go on walks or go hiking. Let me know your input everyone!

I'm totally down for that! I'd love to do more outside but hate to go alone! What is everyone's schedule like?
  • Yay! So glad to see a response!!! For myself Monday nights,Tuesday's and Thursday's are my busiest days. Weekends are the best bet for at least one set day a week. However, I'm always willing for more, I just need to know in advance so I can plan out my schedule accordingly.

so I have a kindergartener, he gets out of school at 11:30, so between 9 and 11:30 monday thru thursday is wide open, any activities I can bring him along for are cool too, in that case I'm open all day Monday through Wednesday. I work Thursday evenings, Friday, and Saturday, I'm open Sundays usually, but would have the whole fam =) I used to go to Bush park every morning, got in a good routine, but then my workout buddy moved away, and the dog just isn't enough company for me! What kind of stuff are you thinking about? We should get a few people together for something low key like coffee, just to meet and stuff. I'm in school but this term all my classes are online, so that helps me find time.....it's hard to be a grown up. work, kids....blah blah blah
  • Trust me, I completely understand. I'm really down for anything. The goal is to get out and enjoy life. Walks are fine. Hell, even games like kickball or stuff of that nature would be sweet. The only downside currently is that I'm not getting anywhere near the response I was hoping to. Basically it has been you and a Facebook friend that has expressed real interest. So if you know ANYBODY please pass the word. It does not have to be limited to MFP. In fact I would love as many people as we can get. Especially since this is FREE!

I've been in Salem 2 years and haven't been able to find anyone to stick with it for more than a couple weeks, turned our garage into a gym and do most stuff at home now! Maybe Salem is just lazy? There was a running group on meetup.com, but they never scheduled events and then it was closed. On that same site I'm also part of a hiking group called Adventures Around Oregon (they're on facebook too) but, I have yet to go to a meetup with them because they ALWAYS do them on a Saturday! They've been talking about doing laser tag and stuff because of the rain......if anything comes up let me know!
  • Well actually, the anything that comes up is now. I think it is a wonderful idea to meet up first. So what days would work for you to at least meet up to become acquainted with one another?

I think monday, Tuesday, Wednesday between 9 and 1130 is THE best for me because I would have NO kids. I know that is a tiny window =) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday are my days off so really any time, just after 1130 I would have my 6 year old with me, which isn't a big deal really, he just isn't much for walking or whatever. Or....what about a Sunday and our kiddos and spouses can come as well and meet? My husband is by no means worried about what I do, but if it does end up just being you and me doing this, it might be less weird for them if everyone knows eachother?
  • Totally. How about Monday Morning? I think that would be best for me. We wont have Aly and I'll try and get Muriel to come... No promises though. Where would you like to meet up?
