Crawling out of my Skin

I recently quit smoking. Around about the time I joined MFP (Jan 2nd, yes I'm one of those "new years resolution people") so I could transform my body, my mind and my life. It's been going pretty well and I have a rule that keeps me sane; I smoke during the same day as my diet "cheat day". I'm a part of this absolutely awesome fitness program and they told us we have to have a day where we don't worry about food and calories etc, so I thought the same should apply with my smoking, and before you get all up in arms, it's worked. I went from smoking half a pack/ full pack a day, to about six or seven cigarettes, one day a week. However tonight I am crawling out of my skin. I desperately want my old lifestyle back at this moment... chain smoking and beer drinking. I know this is a forum to discuss food cravings, but right now that is what I'm craving so badly.... ahhhhhh

I am not and have never been a smoker or drinker but I tell you, quitting food I find the cravings to be nearly unbearable at times. I chew gum like a maniac. I go through three or four pieces a day in the hopes that it will distract me long enough to forget my craving at that moment. So, although not the same, I can understand how hard it is to want something so badly and not have it.
