I just bought a whole load of cheap second hand exercise DVDs from Amazon. Picked them up from the Post Office this morning and tried out part of 'The Lose Weight Workout with Mikyla Dodd'.

Wow its good. The exercises are easy to follow but have really worked up a sweat. Can't wait to try out the others now.

I'd love people to share what exercise DVDs other people use and what they think of them.

Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred is amazing! I just got her Killer Buns & Thighs which finally came out in the UK recently and its brutal but awesome!
  • I use to use the hot pants workout which was ace and Tae bo with Billy Blanks. Didn't like Davinas DVDs as she drives me up the wall. Have ordered 30 day shred :-D Hope I get results

I am currently doing Turbofire DVD's, 30 Day Shred & 6 week 6 Pack. I love them all, very hard work but starting to see my body change and the inches fall off :-)

I regularly use the following workout DVD's (or a combination of a couple of them!) depending on what mood I'm in!!

    - Jillian Michaels: Ripped in 30, Six Week Six Pack, No More Trouble Zones, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, 30 Day Shred, Killer Buns and Thighs (only tried this one for the first time last night)

    - Billy Blanks Tae Bo

    - Kettlecise Kettlebell Work Outs

Find they all give me a great work out that doesn't feel boring!!

I did the same! Went round all the second hand shops and bought them all up! Did Beverley Callards last night (an easy starter) and also got Michelle McManus' DVD to do tomorrow..if she can do it then so can I! Keeping the 'brutal ones' til my body gets used to exercise. It's good to alternate so it doesn't get boring :) Add me if you want some support....I could use it lol x
  • I've seen a lot about the 30 day shred on here! I might have to invest in it, as I have given up with the gym as I cannot stand the people there. Here I come amazon!

I use Ministry of sound Pump it up dvds. For some reason I find them amusing, whereas the few I tried before these (eg a model exercising on top of a sky scraper) I just found irritating.

I'm going to give 30 Day Shred another chance, but the last time I tried it I really hurt my knees. Hopefully now I'm a bit fitter starting it and I have a better idea of how to do the moves I won't kill myself.

I really love the 10 minute solution Total Body Workout dvd by Suzanne Bowen. There's something like 6 or 8 workouts on the dvd, in 10 minute bite size pieces, and just as you're starting to think you've had enough, bam 10 minutes are up (or, if you're lucky, just as you're getting warmed up 10 minutes are up and you choose another one to do). No warm up though, so you do need to warm yourself up.

I was in Lidl's the other day, and they had a whole lot for £3.99 each... I got Zoe Lucker's 'Little Black Dress' workout (trainer Niki Wibrow), which is divided into 5 sections of about 10 mins each, Warm-up, dance, box, tone and yoga. I have only done the first two 2 times so far... and was quite pleasingly sweaty. Still trying to keep up with the steps, but easy to do, and have played through the rest, which all look quite good. My weight having plateaued for a bit, seems to have started to shift, so will keep at it a couple of times a week.

I did Level 3 Day 1 of 30 day shred this morning. It's great. I've got some of the 10 Minute Solutions DVD's as well, and some of the Davina ones. Once I'm finished with 30DS, I'll mix and match the ones I've got just now, then maybe get another Jillian Michaels in a couple of months.
