Now let me add a caution here, this was a tongue in cheek blog post, so please take it in the spirit it was written.

My friends got a serious chuckle.

I would love to hear the Final Fantasy 6 ( 3 US version ) victory song every single time I lose a pound!

This guy hooked up a treadmill to his laptop....so when he runs, his toon runs. On WoW, he would run from Darkshore to Silithus. Very ingenious player, wish I knew how to do that!

    That Guys is brilliant!

But to your blog post, I think anything to motivate, right?
And let's be honest, isn't working out the same as increasing your strength and stamina levels? ;P

am looking at it the same way. though my first thoughts were towards the similarities with grinding in wow to grinding in the gym - both terribly boring but if I stick at it then I get to enjoy the result later :)

So as I was swapping out my mods/enhancements on SWTOR the other day, I really got to thinking about MFP meal/exercise journaling and vjrose's blog.....

MFP is EXACTLY like theorycrafting in WoW/SWTOR/gaming in general.

"Okay, if I divide up these numbers throughout the day....get some exercise here and there....I should be good thru the week...etc, etc, etc...."

Maybe that's why MFP works so well for me...and it has to satisfy that theorycrafting need that all gamers usually have.

If I did the treadmill thing, my toon wouldn't be getting anywhere xD It's a great idea though, very ingenious and I'm sure it was a challenge to figure out how to do!

never thought about it that way but your completly dead on with it. in theroy if my rotation is this and have this gear and spec my DPS = ? and on here if i eat this and exercise this amount with my current weight being whatever i should lose this amount in this time

but like with theorycrafting as with life we make mistakes, miss a CD/workout, autoattack when we get distracted/autoeat when we get stressed so the numbers get close but never really add up to what they should be
