Oh FGS !! Going stereotypical here but ....... Yes I am female, Yes I am naturally blonde but no I can certainly tell the difference between someone who claims to be 37 and someone who actually looks 57 !!

Why oh why on online dating do people forget to add on a year each birthday ? There is a bloke on one site who my friend refers to as Stirling Moss. Looks a lot like him (Striling is about 75) but claims he is only 42 .... boy did that guy have a really hard paper round. At the moment this pic keeps popping up of this older gent with grey hair and his profile states he is 35 !! My *kitten* !!!

Has anyone else noticed this or perhaps I have forgotten to grow up and think they should all still look 25

First, I went to school with someone who was grey by the age of 19 - runs in the family it appears! Other than that, I agree lol, we are supposed to be cute and all nice and hot looking and with some of the blokes you just wonder...

Hmm, most of the sites I've been on calculate age based on the year the person is born... but that would be frustrating!

I've never really figured out why guys would like on their online profiles anyhow. Suppose it works out and you find the perfect one for you. Well, started that one out well, now didn't you? When I've used the sites, I've always been honest about my age (yes, even this one).

Full Disclosure: I lie to my elliptical machine so it will let me work at a heart rate of 148. I tell it I'm 38.

You are allowed to lie to a machine though. I sometimes lean on the sink when on the scales to see what it would look like if I was 110 pounds :o)

I know, its frustrating isnt it. I once met a guy that said he was 9 years older than his picture. He didnt lie about his age, just he put an old picture up! Instead of this handsome, fit guy with curly hair, I met a fat, bald version. And I didnt even recognise him. Not in any way!

Now, I know that people might try and get away with a year, or even 5 if they can get away with it, but I really can't understand why you would do it if you look THAT different. You will get found out. For sure! Why waste your time?

Pictures can be misleading at the best of times. Lots of people age prematurely or look very young for their age. But Jeez, a 20 year difference?? That's just crazy!

And you dont look blonde!!!

One time I met a guy online who first said he was 45, then as we emailed said well I'm actually a couple years older. I agreed to go out with him because there was a friend of mine who was even older that I TOTALLY would have gone out with... and this guy didn't look much older than 45 at all. We get to lunch, he does look 45ish-50ish in person (you know they post young pictures, lol!) and I'm thinking, "well, ok, I'll give him a chance...." until he starts telling me about his daughter and grandbabies, and his daughter is older than ME! He was in his sixties. At the time, I was 35. ewwwwww.
