Introduction of self :)

Hi My name is Threasa and I just joined My Fitness Pal on the 23rd, but I didnt start using the site until the 27th. My sister pushed me into it and now is pushing me to join a group!:grumble: lol I think that this one sounds pretty awesome so thatnks for having it available to me. I thought that it would be good to know something about everyone since this is a new group. And everything here is new to me.
My name is Threasa...again. :laugh: I am 29 years old. I weigh 287pds and am 5'7". I have been overweight my whole life and really need to get control over this! A few of the reasons are: I want to be healthy. I want to find someone that will love me for me and be willing to make a family with me because my whole life I have dreamed of being a Mommy and being like this isnt helping! And my other reason for losing weight is that my sister is getting married in June and I am a bridesmaid.
Please help keep me motivated during this upcoming month of February!

    Hi, I'm Karen. I'm 31 and a full time mum to 5 children twin step stepdayghter 12, my son 9 and my daughters 5and 2
    I've been trying to lose the baby weight for a while now but never really took it seriously. I started my journey at 242 just over a year ago and currently weight 217, I've been stuck juggling a few lbs for months now.
    Love the idea of this group the motivation to get up and do that bit more every single day

    can't wait to get started

    Good morning! My name is Tasha and I'm 31. Sick of being fat and seeing my sister in law lose 90 pounds with MFP and ecxercise has motivated me. I've tried EVERYTHING to lose weight but the good old exercise and healthy eating is the only thing that works. Currently 252 and happy that I have lost 10 pounds already without feeling deprived :happy:

    I'm ready for the challenge! I feel like a million bucks when I exercise and I hope you all get that feeling too! Good luck to us.
  • HI I'm 31 I live in Christchurch NZ. I need to lose 13kg to start with getting me down to 80kg.
    In the start of 2011 we decided to start a family. This was put on hold due to the stress form the christchurch earthquake. Then I may we found out we were expecting and were over the moon. sadly at 15 weeks in Auguast we lost our baby.
    After losing our wee girl I turned to food to help me through. So now I'm in a better place I want to get back into health and fitness.
    We are currently trying again and cant wait to have a baby but till then I want to make myself healthy.
    So goal
    One is to exercise every day in feb.
    Two to fill out food diary every day, if it goes in my mouth it gets written down.
    Three On day 29 to do a high ropes challange (have a love hate thing with hights):indifferent:

    Hello! My name is Lynn. I'm a mom of 2 boys and a full time student. I've been on mfp for awhile but don't use it each day like I should. I have learned a lot about myself just by charting intake and exercise. Different story when you see it in black and while.

    I have 2 goals this year.. #1 is to run a 5k. I am going to sign up for on is Sept as soon as sign ups open up. #2 is to FEEL healthy. I have no idea what weight that is or what size pants but I will know it when I get there.
