What do you do?

I have a daily and a weekly routine:

Daily
Morning:
Wipe down my face with a Target face wipe
Apply Olay Regenerist SPF moisturizer, brow to collarbone
Apply a face primer (Right now it's MAC)
Put on makeup! (most days)

Night:
Wash body with Nutrogena Rain Bath
Wash face with Philosophy Purity face wash
Apply whatever moisturizer sample I have from Birchbox
Apply Avon (I think it's called Clinical) eye cream on lower, gel on upper eye area
Slather Lubriderm lotion everywhere

Weekly

I take a hot bath and..
I give myself a pedi - I even shave off my calluses (controversial, but I love it.)
Trim toe nails, file, and buff
Apply Mary Kay emollient foot lotion
Tweeze, trim and shape eyebrows
Use Olay Microdermabraison kit (I *kitten* love this stuff)
Apply super-pricey moisturizer from the sample I have (I forget the name, but it's hella expensive and has marine botanicals)
Dry off everything and slather on more Lubriderm lotion

I'm lazy. I use baby wipes to remove my make up at night, Pampers works best! No, seriously, I've tried 3 other brands and none of them are even half as good as Pampers for sensitive skin. I like to use coconut oil as my moisturizer at night. In the mornings I clean my face with a Cetaphil skin care bar and use some eye cream something or other from Mary Kay and Gel Moisturizer because I'm allergic to a lot of the cream moisturizers. I am going to go back to using the coconut oil in the mornings though. My skin felt much better when I did.

Wash with clean and clear and use Oil of Olay everyday. I know its simple and cheap but I like to think I still look damn young.

On my body I use Vaseline Cocoa Butter lotion. I'm pretty lucky with my skin. Hair is another story...

Sundays are my mani/pedi days. I do everything myself. Every once in a while I sparingly use my Dead Sea Scrub.

Looking at this I realize I am really low-maintenance. I might need to at least step up my makeup. My mom yells at me because I have no color.

I just got some new products that I need to rave about.

I have very frustrating skin, especially in the winter. It's dry and oily at the same time -- and not in different places. I mean, my skin dries out and the seems to create excess oil that sits on top of the dry skin. I'm broken out constantly, but my skin feel like scales between pimples.

I had previously spent and arm and a leg getting fash wash and toner from Clarins. The toner is good, but the face wash just did nothing for me. My skin broke out WORSE.

So this week, I suck it up and go to Kiehl's prepared to spend a million dollars.

I'm not going to pretend that it was cheap, but it wasn't Clarins bad and the products are AMAZING. Only a few days later and my skin feels and looks like heaven.

In the morning, I wash with their Ultra Facial Oil Free Cleanser. I do make sure I got my nails involved on dry patches to help exfoliate the dead skin. I rinse, dry my face, and then pat on some Clarins Lotion Tonique with Chamomile from forehead to collarbone. I let that dry and then apply some Line-Reducing Eye-Brightening Concentrate under my eyes and on my lids. Finally, I moisturize my face and neck with a small amount of Abyssine Cream + SPF 23 (always go for the SPF!)

At night, I wash, tone and moisturize again, leaving out the eye cream. Right before bed I pat on two drops of Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

Additionally -- I should mention that their standard Kiehl's chapstick is amazing. My lips had fully recovered from their cut up, nasty wintery-ness in a day.

I clearly need to develop a routine for the rest of my body (I am the scaliest person living in the winter) but my face was top priority and is loving this new routine. Seriously, give Kiehl's a shot.

ETA -- Also, I know that the lab coats they wear are a ridiculous marketing ploy and I was put off by it too. But I have a friend in my boxing class who works for Kiehl's and she says that they actually do have to go through some pretty rigorous training (knowing the ingredients and what the ingredients are meant to do) to be on the floor and "earn the coat". So at least you can have some confidence that they know the products!
