Tough Mudder - Tampa

So first off, I'm a little pissed they canceled the one they were supposed to be doing in August in Jacksonville, now the site is saying that it will do one in 2013... that's crap. I don't want to have to drive all the way to Tampa, pay $95 for a 12 mile run. I want to do it in my own area and not have the friggin 2-3 hour drive added to all this crap. I'm still debating if I am going to do this. I was so pumped to do it. After my back surgery in September, I figured I had a year to be able to get ready for this run, now I have more time, but I'm not sure if I want to support them to keep having runs and events outside of the Jacksonville area, I'd like more crap to be done here.


Ok, done ranting. Anyone else planning on doing this? It's being done December 1st and 2nd in Tampa.

Well, you've got approx. 10 months to get from wherever you are now to 12 miles. I'm up to 4 miles pretty much all running at a 14:05 pace. I'm gonna try 9 miles this weekend and see how it works out. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to do it, the time is the only question.

I just signed up! It gets more expensive the longer you wait, so I wanted to get it done now. Had a bunch of friends who ran the course last year and really enjoyed it, so I'm working myself up to be ready for it by December.
