Hey all! So Im training for a half marathon but I also do a lot of 5K's. Would anyone be interested in signing up for one and training as a group for it? There are tons of them out there, let's hear some ideas!

I'm thinking of signing up for the Fearless 5k on April 14 in Mission Bay. I'm up for meeting up and training as long as it works out with everyone's schedules.

I'm actually thinking about signing up for the Fealess 5K as well!! I'm already signed up for the Half Marathon at Petco Park, which is what I'm already training for. I just did 13.22 miles so I guess I'm ready for it!! :) My longest run ever. I usually run through seaport village/harbor area.
  • Im already signed up for the Gladiator Rock n Run on the 14th of April so I can't do the fearless but we could totally train for our seperate events together! I do my long runs on Saturdays with my half marathon training group but I always need to get my weekly miles in. and NOW Im training for the RAGNAR! the ultimate test of endurance ;P lol

for your half marathon interests Im also signed up for the Rock and Roll half on June 3rd so really my training will never end! Im always available to run! You just let me know times and places. I usually go to Mission Bay, Crowns Point, and the dog area of Fiesta Island so my monsters can run and I can get some "trail time"

That's really impressive that you're doing all these races! I just discovered theGladiator Rock'N Fun 5K obstacle course which I'm trying to get a team together for it. That should be super exciting.

Same here, Saturdays are my long distance running as well. I've never jog with a group before. This could be interesting. What pace do you all usually go?

  • My saturday morning long run is my "hard" run. Im still not much of a distancer plus Ive got a stroller. I guess usually hitting about a 10 minute mile those days

Fridays I meet with a moms running group at Liberty Station. The route is pretty easy and since its in the afternoon Im usually more awake lol so I probably go about a 9 minute mile at that one

Other days depending on how we feel my friend and I go faster or slower :)

the Undie run is this saturday. Not expensive to sign up and is only a 5k. I would go but training with my determination team and want to keep that team spirit going.

Wait. Undie run? As in panties? Is it too late to sign up? If so, where, I want to watch!

Hi! I love to run! I am not super fast, but love doing 5Ks. I am signed-up for the Carlsbad 5K on April 1st, The Cinco de Mayo 5K Trail Run, and I'm getting ready to hit the Submit button for the R n R in June! It will be my 2nd half-marathon. I've been running solid for about 3 years. I'm in the North County area--RB, Poway. Best to you!
