Ok single people...
If you had to make the absolute perfect dinner for your date, what is one thing you would make?
If your date took you somewhere you absolutely did not want to be there at all (for example, hiking, petting tigers etc lol) how would you tell him or her?
And guys lol I just wanted to know, but would you ever allow your date to pay for dinner etc half of the times at least or more?

If I was an awesome cook, I think I would do salad, some kind of hot dish (love comfort food!) and a super good dessert.

Ooh, so difficult. If it was planned ahead of time and I just disliked the thing but it wasn't too bad, I think I might say something like "hmm, i don't know how much i'd like that but i can try." Hopefully the person could tell that I was apprehensive. If it was something I absolutely hated (like if the guy was like "Let's go see Harry Potter"), I would say, "I don't really want to do that. Could we see a different movie/go somewhere else."0 -
1. I don't know anything about cooking and whatnot, but if I could make it I'd probably go for something yummy and healthy like grilled salmon, a little bit of vegetables on the side like steamed broccoli and perhaps some brown rice to go along with it.
2. I would try to let them know upfront as to not cause any confusion or frustration and suggest an alternative that everyone might enjoy.
3. If my date really, really wanted to pay I wouldn't stop them, but I would at least offer first so as not to be rude and if they refuse there's nothing I can do but graciously accept.0 -
Hmm....depends on what he like honestly. If it was soley up to me it would be a side salad, salmon filet and grilled shrimp with a side of asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Dessert would most likely be me
If my date took me somewhere I didn't want to be I would just come out and tell him.
And when I go out on dates it's 50/50 whether they like it or not. I don't believe a man should pay for every date0 -
The first thing I thought of is what a lot of you put, salad, salmon/ fish if he likes fish! I would want to buy one of those raw food chocolate "cheese" cake things with raspberries on it.
If we were going somewhere I don't want to, I hope I'd have the guts to say no, I don't like this. Let's go somewhere else.
I'm not sure about paying. I really haven't gone out with anyone in a really, really, really long time... but I'd have enough money for myself and I'd offer to pay my half.0 -
1. I am assuming that we have talked before so I would know what kind of food she liked. I would make her favorite dish or something similar. If I had no clue and was just winging it then I would probably cook some fish and vegetables or a stuffed chicken breast with rice and veggies.
2. I am easily entertained so if my date took me somewhere I didn't really want to be then I would just stick it out and make it as fun of an experience as I could. After the date I would mention something like "though it wasn't my cup of tea I still had fun, but maybe next time we could"........ If it was something that I just couldn't handle then I would be up front and explain to her that I am not comfortable with where she is taking me.
3. I would not let my date pay for dinner unless she absolutely insisted and I knew there was no way I was going to win the argument. I guess I am just kind of old school when it comes to things like this. I would not let her pay until we were actually in a relationship and then I would let her on occasion.0 -
Steak and veggies, apple pie and ice cream for dessert.
I'd try to make it fun and be a good sport, if I had no say, before hand. If he took me there, there must be some reason for him to want to go- I'm not going to be a buzz kill.
If I'm not serious with a guy, I offer to cover my own. If he's covered the last few checks, I'll pick up one on principle. He shouldn't be obligated to feed me. If he refused to "allow" me to contribute and was really deadset against it, it would be a warning sign, imo.0 -

In all likelihood, she spent much more getting ready for the date.0 -
As long as I knew she liked it I would make Lasagna or would grill some steaks.
If it was something that I just wouldn`t do (bungee jumping) I would be honest and say no thanks,I will just watch you.
Otherwise I would give it a shot to see if I liked it and also to have a good time with the lady.
I am old fashioned,I will pay for the first date, would not have it any other way.
After that I guess but it still makes me uncomfortable to have a lady pay for things when we are together.0 -
Hello everyone! This is my first post after joining the group. Thought I would chime in! Feel free to add me as a friend.
Regarding food: I would cater to his tastes. I love to cook! Assuming my date likes meat, it would be fun to grill up some big juicy steaks. I like to do a foil packet of onions and garlic on the top rack, it makes them carmelize and adds lots of flavor. Add a bit of horseradish and you have a good slab of meat! Now I personally would add a salad to this and cut up an appropriate sized portion of the steak and top my salad off with it. I would offer a nice baked potato to my date, depending on his own eating habits. No judgement!
If my date were to take me someplace that I don't like, I would go along anyways. It's good to go outside of your comfort zone..I would look at it as an adventure.
Blessings!

I love to cook. Depending on our combined taste I would probably do something like lemon pepper salmon, veggie medley, and rice. Or something else I've made before.
Im all about trying new things. So unless it was something totally outrageous I would give it at least a try.
Paying is always a spoof. I'm very independent but I like a gentleman so I would let him pay the first date if it's just a meet up for coffee or something I pay for myself. After that it becomes a joking matter and it's who gets to the bill first0 -
I would make lamb hotpot, assuming he likes lamb.....Mmmmmm!
I wouldnt go anywhere I wouldnt feel comfortable. I'd explain why and try and come up with something we both like doing.
I would always pay my way, but I think it says a lot about a man who at least offers0
