Hello everyone! This is the first group I have ever started. I would like to see if anyone has any concerns about going to MEPS. If so, what are they and why?
Also, if you are currently on active duty....is there any information or advice you can give future soliders?

lol advice I would give you is... when you get hurt go to sick call and get it documented... it will help you get disability when you get out... I hurt my back, knee, and wrist when I was in!! They discourage you going to sick call, but think about when you get out and your future!! And do not join the infantry, try to pick a job that you are going to pick when you get out of the military....... Also if you plan on going to college... I know you have to pay $1,200 for your G.I. bill $100 a month for the first 12 months... but if you give them an extra $600 out of your own money..... you will end up getting $18,000 dollars added onto your total G.I. bill money

Pick a MOS that will set you up for a job once you get out. Too many people join and let the recruiters convince them they can only take certain jobs. They (recruiters) have a quota to meet, and will sign you up for the jobs nobody else wants to do. Decide what you want to do and stick to it.

Thats definetly something that I try to research. Im going for something in Administration.....thats what I have been doing for the last 10+ years. Thanks for your comment!

Admin or something in the IT field, and if possible try to get as high of a security clearance as you can get. Having a security clearance (Secret or higher) when you get out sets you up for a job also. If you can get a position where you require a TS clearance, when you get out that will add 25K-50K to your pay.
