  • Congratulations on the loss. Even loss of water weight is good.
  • Nice job! I used to do it on Monday's, but then I realized I was overdoing it on the weekends, switched to Fridays.

I am trying to lose another 15 pounds, but having trouble with these weight plateaus. I really want to be down to the same weight I was when I was boring holes through the Atlantic at 200+ feet. Any ideas for overcoming weight plateaus? I am doing running every other day and have cut out nearly all processed foods and red meat. Should I go vegan?

I just got past a plateau that last 3 months. So I completely understand. It sounds like you are doing the right things. But can't evaluate without seeing your food diary. Are you making sure you are drinking water and logging it? I have noticed alot of folks forget that most basic helper. Are you doing your measurements weekly? I know when I was stuck at that same number on the scale...I did see a difference in my measurements. A little at a time. So far I have lost 14.5lbs, but lost almost 15 inches total. So make sure you celebrate your NSV (non-scale victories), too.

Loskene - if you've ever watched Biggest Loser, they all have the same plateau a few weeks into the show. Our body is saying "What the heck?" and our metabolism goes wacko for a while. Stick with your plan, and celebrate every 1/2 pound, every NSV (as SMsinger75 said). Allow your body to adjust to a new, healthier lifestyle.

Didn't have such a good week last week so I ended up gaining 1/2lb. But I plan on doing better this week and getting back on track. Hoping everyone else is doing well and has a great week!
