Wish I was American to vote with you on this one!

Implementing public policy via private insurance companies and forcing employers to use them was always a travesty of what a good public health care program should be. The way around this is for the government to dispense care directly to its citizens directly via the medical establishment, and cut out the middle men. That way, freedom is maintained all around, plus the costs of providing care are kept under direct public control.

This humongous bungle is going to kill public health care in the USA, and that would be a real shame because so many people need it.
