I am 165 lbs and 5ft 7. I am on my third day of the slimfast diet (just to get me used to smaller meal sizes) and it's going well. :) I want to lose 10 pounds in 100 days so that i can feel good about myself and fit comfortably into my party dress for june 12th. i do about 20 mins of walking a day sometimes more. Does anybody have any tips to help me along? Anybody been on slimfast before?

i've not been on a slimfst diet, but i have used slimfast as a suplemental meal when i dodn't have time to cook or im on the go or as an after workout drink. I love them super cold almost frozen or that slushi type of frozen almost better than icecream. My advice is to not focus on the solid food you're not eating. Enjoy the shake however you have it and the fill on water till your next scheduled meal time. WE CAN DO IT!!!
  • Ready to do this!! I am so prime to not gain more weight but lose. I lost 35 pounds in 2008 and now I am gradually gaining back. Don't want so I am here.

  • I do like the Slimfast shakes. They are great. I agree - slushy is much better. Use crushed ice and add a banana or strawberries to the shake. Also drink with a hot cup of coffee. Remember too to add a salad to every dinner meal. It fills you up but doesn't add a lot of calories. One person suggested to me to "close the kitchen." By turning the lights out at night and announcing it is closed helps to keep you from going back for snacks late at night.

love it.. Kitchen Closed and Turning off the Light!... my husbands grandmother closes the kitchen as a means to keep the little ones from constantly making dishes. there is litterally a sign on the cabinet with kitchen hours. It is closed after every meal time and the dishes are washed and the lights are turned out. at first i thought this was very strange, but it was useful for her to keep a clean kitchen and keep the kids on scheduled eating times so durring the summer they aren't constantly grazing through the kitchen. I see now how her main purpose was to keep the kitchen cleaned but it totally controlled their food intake too. Great Idea!
