    Just feel like stirring up shit...

    These people who simply don't "get it", who look for quick fix after quick fix, who are not willing to put in any time educating themselves, who don't even comprehend how MFP is designed to work - they don't deserve to lose the weight. Discuss.

    Stupid people in general piss me off.

    This is a direct response to the HCG thread, right? :D

    Actually I reached my stupidity quota today when I read a poster say she doesn't eat her exercise calories because she doesn't see the point. But then she went on to say that MFP's calorie target was too low for her so she increased it. That's the same thing!

    The thing is they never will be lean because they refuse to do what it takes to get there.

    Simple as that.

    It's just sad that some of them are going to destroy their health along the way.

    well i think it´s a bit extreme but the fact is....those who are searching for the magic pill or diet are going to fail. They might lose weight....but they will end up fatter then ever. Someone might say that they deserve what they get but for me.....it just makes me sad. I have no joy in seeing others fail. It´s one reason why i still give my opinion on the board instead of just saying **** it. On the other hand, i can only help myself.

    It does not give me joy either. I would rather see everyone succeed. But there are some here who are just so sure of their erroneous ways, that trying to convince them otherwise is exhausting and futile.

    This. The same people who refuse to listen to reason and who think science is some giant conspiracy are often the ones making excuses and blaming everyone but themselves.

    I think the main problem is a lack of scientific literacy. It's not just that people don't understand the science that's out there, they don't know what science MEANS.

    I think people should be more educated about the philosophy of what science is and what it does so that they can understand WHY they should trust it.

    This should be required reading for all MFP users. Also, perhaps a math class.

    I don't think it's stupid people as much as arrogant people. I don't mind when someone has a stupid *kitten* question related to weight loss (even if they can't be bothered to search the message boards or the google beforehand). What pisses me off is when people get a good answer to their stupid *kitten* question, and then refuse to accept it because they know better. Those people, I don't have any problem if they fail. But if someone is willing to listen to the advice given in response to their stupid question, then I'll root for them.
