This weekend im supposed to be racing a half marathon as part of my training plan, but because i wasnt looking ahead, i kinda forgot to enter one! According to the plan i should be resting tomorrow and saturday, then racing sunday. What would MFP do in my shoes? Stick to the plan, or treat it as a step back and run
saturday and sunday as i would on any other stepback? For reference last weekend was a 17 miler, next weekend is a 19 milers.

Thanks!

I would run it at a normal step back week.

Or you could try & time trial a half on your own just to guage your fitness.

Why not stick to the plan (more or less) and run a hard 13 miles to gauge your fitness?

I probably wouldn't rest two days. Maybe 4 or 5 easy miles and one rest day.

I'd just run my own half, and stick with the training as much as possible.
