HELP ME PLEASE!!

I thought I was doing it right but im so screwed up and lost now. Basically what I have been doing now is setting myself to maintenance, logging my workouts (using HRM) and then I eat until I have somewhere between 600-1000 left in the green every day. is this right? Someone please message me if need be in an attempt to get this formula correct.

    Yes, that's what I've been doing for 2 months. I don't have much left to lose and it has worked out really well. My deficit (green) has been zero on some days and 500 on others.
