Anyone out there drink chia before they run?
I've been trying to find something that doesn't make my gut cramp (all the usual stuff is a no go for me because of Ulcerative Colitis) and I think this may be the ticket!! So far I've been on an 8 mile run with a pre-run 8 oz. of chia fresca.
What kinda experiences have you had? Do you think it really helps hydration/energy?

I make a chia drink for before/after my long runs, and modify it as a goo for during.
Mine includes:
- raw chia seeds
- agave nectar
- fresh-squeezed lime juice
- water
It is pretty much exactly what is outlined in "Born to Run!" Because of my allergies, I can't eat/drink most of the commercial stuff anyway, so this stuff has been a godsend. AND I love the taste! To turn it into a goo, just use less water. I put it in a snack-sized ziploc baggie and tear off a corner with my teeth when I am ready to slurp it down ;-)0 -
