Sweetner Substitute

I have stopped using sweetners and went back to sugar but very limited and very little. I only use it in my coffee in the morning and it's about 2tsp if that. I wanted to look into an alternative sweetner and not Sweet n low or any of those others. Has anyone tried Agave nectar? What others would you suggest that you've tried?

I haven't used any others besides the ones that contain aspartame. I've heard great things about agave though.0

I've also heard great things about the Agave Nectar but have never tried it. I used to use Equal but I'm pretty sure it has Aspartame in it. Whenever I want to sweeten something, I almost always use Natural SueBee Clover Honey Premium. http://www.suebee.com/honey/faq0

I plan on getting some agave nectar when we go to the market this Sunday. I can definitely let you know how it is. I've heard great things about it. I too used to use different sweetners, splenda was one that I gravitated towards, but I read somewhere that for PCOS'rs if we're gonna eat sugar to just eat it because the different sweetners can have different effects in unfavorable ways. I do have a little table sugar with my oatmeal, but I don't plan on that being the case in the coming weeks.0

I have yet to eliminate reg. sugar from my lifestyle and use a little in my oatmeal and coffee (very little if I can stand it). I have not gotten any agave nectar because surprisingly I didn't even remember when I went to the store but I also did a little research and it's basically no different than table sugar (http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/the-truth-about-agave) so I'm thinking as long as I just keep the sugar intake at a minimum I wont have a problem.0
