I'm excited that the storyline of the Governor (and hopefully Michonne) is being introduced in season 3. I was really hoping they'd cast Tom Savini as a shout out to George A. Romero and because I think he could pull of the dirtbag vibe of the Governor. What do you think of the casting? Who would you have liked to seen cast??

I am fine with the cast being primarily lesser known actors. (Tom Savini is pretty well known to me.) I considered this whole Tom Savini thing somewhat of a joke. From an article I read, Savini was pretty much suggesting that he would be good for the role. Frankly, he's a talented special effects and make-up guy, but not a very good actor, but you can tell he is having a heck of alot of fun when he is acting. I saw him on Face Off recently after he was putting himself out there for the role and I was thinking he's actually a little too old for the role anyways. While it would be fun, seeing him would him out of the character for me and make me think of some of his goofier roles.0

I have no idea who David Morrissey is, never heard of him. As long as he's a good actor that can really grasp the character I'll be happy, although he doesn't really resemble the Governor from the comics. I kinda have a specfic pre-image in my mind. But it is nice to know we can look foward to the Gonernor story line!! And yes, I am really hoping to see Michonne too!!!0

David Morrissey is a great UK actor.
I have no doubts about him being able to pull of the character of the governor. I only wonder how credible his American accent will be or if they'll just have him keep his normal accent.0 -
I am so excited to see Michonne! She is my favorite character! Eeee!0

They have to bring in Michonne into the storyline. IMO the group needs her, Darryl can't do all the *kitten*-kickin' by himself.
Serioulsy, I think her character is essential to balance out the evil of the governor (gotta fight fire w/ fire if you get my meaning.
Whatever happened to the father and son that Rick left behind back in season 1?0 -
They are going with a much different look for the Governor than in the comic book. That makes me wonder if his character won't be as brutal as well.0

I noticed they didn't even try, but I concluded that it really doesn't matter what he looks like. It's not his appearance, but his brutality that defines him. David Morissey looks kinda pissed in that picture, so that's a good sign.0
