Hi all! This may seem like an odd question but is the Wii computer actually smarter than I have been giving it credit for? I began my journey on 1/10/12 and have just reached 20 pounds lost this week (9.1 since joining MFP) and have noticed something odd about my Wii - it seems to be giving me fewer calories burned for the same exerises than it did when I was 20 pounds heavier. It is not a radical change but one fewer here and two fewer there - the longer the exercise the bigger the loss of calorie burn . Is this normal?

I noticed that as well but thought I had made a mistake on the calories prior to the weight loss.0

yeh it is that smart.. I noticed it as well but just figured it is like MFP and it works on your weight to measure calories burnt. The more you weigh then the more calories you burn . As you lose weight then it readjusts the calories burnt, very clever.
The other day I was on the floor getting ready to do some floor strength exercises and it wanted me to stand on the board first, I couldn't be bothered standing back up again so just leaned on it.
It told me I weighed differently to usual and did I want to reweigh, lol
I couldn't even fool it that I hadn't stood up.
It's clever.
What I found funny was the day my usual trainer wasn't there and was replaced by the other one, huh?
One of the programmers has a sense of humor it seems.!!0 -
I have also had the trainer change once in a while - I can handle the humor as long as it keeps helping me to stay fit and lose weight. Wii Fit Plus is one of the first exercise routines that I have not gotten bored with - I love to change up what I do each day and I think that is helping the body from getting used to any one set routine (besides, what would I do without snowball fighting to cool down0
