I'm pretty excited. I will admit that I haven't read the Fellowship books, but I did read the Hobbit and I am very excited to see the movie! I think I should probably read the book again this year!0

Ah, can't wait to see this! May have to re-read the book0
-
So. Excited.
I cannot wait!! It's definitely doing to be awesome. I remember first hearing about it like....over a year ago and thinking that I'd never be able to wait for it's release!0 -
I am also excited that it's Peter Jackson returning as director.
Guillermo del Toro would have been great but it being the same team that made the original makes it even more exciting :-)0 -
I knew I wouldn't be alone in this! I plan to reread the book also!0
-
I'm not counting down, but definitely looking forward to this movie more than any other.0
-
Definitely looking forward to it! That and Avengers are the only two movies I know for sure we will be watching in the theaters this year.0

I'm still throwing a tantrum that they gave us that FABULOUS trailer for Christmas but are making us wait until NEXT Christmas for the movie.
Boo Hiss!!!0 -
Yes, I am SO looking fwd to this!
Avengers & Brave, as well.0 -
Oh my gosh. I CAN'T WAIT. The trailer is so good. So much scenery porn!0

If you like spoilers check out the Hobbit on FB. There is lots of pics and 5 production videos with all kinds of behind the scenes and other fun spoilers including all the dwarves in costume.0

I am so glad it is the same production team. The trailer was amazing got me so excited to see the movie until I was slapped in the face with the release date. Just knowing I had to wait a year really sucked. Hobbit and LOTR were my favourite books growing up. Read the Hobbit when I was 10, this was the first real series of books I begged my parents to buy for me so I could read them all. I totally loved the extended versions of LOTR, very very little disappointed me about the movies and I am looking for the same from The Hobbit.0

I'm in the excited boat as well! This, Avengers and Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.
OK, OK, I know that ABVH is going to be terrible... But I hope that it will be terrible in the most awesome of ways.0 -
I had never even HEARD about Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter until I stumbled across the trailer. It looks really good to me!0

I'm actually excited to watch Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter too... I'm thinking that it's going to be the most terrible, funny, ridiculous movie ever!0 -
I am so excited! I cannot wait until it comes out!
Is it me, or does Thorin look more like a Klingon than a Dwarf? Just my opinion...0 -

The newest production video for The Hobbit. You will see all the dwarves and Bilbo in costume and they go to many beautiful set locations throughout New Zealand. So slight spoilers, but no actual scenes from the movie.0 -
Hobbit lovers: WTF is Evangeline Lily's character? I might be outraged if I had read the book.0

Yeah, creative license should definitely not be taken, but we will see what they do with her.0
