Do you feel like a couch potato? Were you once active and want to get started again? Do you know what an impact just a few minutes a day can have on your health? Adding 15 minutes of moderate excerse, (walking briskly for about one mile) to your daily schedule will use up 100 extra calories per day. Maintaining this schedule would result in an extra 700 calories burned per week.

It's my "give up" for Lent! Giving up being a couch potato that is! I've got myself exercise dvds which I'm trying to do 6 days out of 7 and taking walks as well (fitting that in with work etc) The only thing I have to be careful is that my knees are starting to complain, esp on stairs, so I need to listen to them and not overdo it - concentrate on the lower impact stuff - until I lose some of this weight - I'm sure it'll get better as the weight drops off :O)
