can you believe that?! what happened to january? what happened to december? what the hell happened to 1998?!

anyhoo, here's to a great march of 2012! make it a great month! what are you goals this month? i would still like to lose something - preferably 3 or 4 pounds, but i'll settle for 3 or 4 ounces! i also want to keep my mentality on the up and up - this is reallllly frustrating, but i'm doing well just rolling with it and sticking to my workouts and tweaking my diet, so i want to keep that going for however long it takes!

we've got a fabulous march 1 here - 70 degrees, clear sky, sunny, nice breeze...i hope it sticks around! but it could snow yet, so we'll just wait and see.

have a great day and sweat some today!

I am one week in for my Fitness Fusion class (aka Bootcamp) and I have found I don't mind working out at 6am! Who knew! Crazy! My goal is to fit back into my pants!!! This is getting stupid that I keep yo-yoing back and forth and one day my pants fit okay and the next I have a muffen top the size of texas. Enough already body. Time to burn this flesh belt OFF already!

My goal is to make it to EVERY MWF class.

Yay march! I am going to make some goals for my food diary this month. I seem to have gotten back into the hang of logging all I eat (hooray! it took like 3 weeks!) and now my goals are this:

2 servings of veggies daily (this is so tough for me)
    25g fiber daily
    102g protein daily
    32g fat daily

I can add the rest in unhealthy fats or in carbs or whatever I want, but I am trying hard to reach protein + fiber each day

I am very pleased with myself so far!

Ran 35 minutes Tuesday, 30 minutes Friday, and lifted Monday, Thursday, and today. Today was 80 lb squats, 50lb overhead press, and 90 lb deadlifts. It was tough.

I'm keeping the same goal and will do my best to drop the few pounds I've gained.

i'm supposed to go and run today. the thought of running makes me want to curl up into a ball and only reach out my hand to collect cheese puffs and cram them into my mouth. there's a step class at 9:30 - maybe i'll go to that instead. happy monday, everyone!

Here's to a good March for you V! Drop those 3 lbs and another smoke free month! Have you been saving up the money you would have spent on cigarettes? I would think take that money and set it aside - buy yourself something awesome with it when you hit 6 months or 3 months or whatever.

Chan - I am starting to learn that if I can't make myself do the thing I feel like I 'should" do then I just need ot make myself do whatever I *CAN* make myself do. So if you just can't get motivated to run but you can haul yourself to the gym and sit on the stationary bike, that's still better than nothing. Sometimes I just go out and walk - tell myself we won't run unless we feel like it. I usually get at lesat 15 minutes of running out of a day like that. Still better than sitting on my butt.

Week two of Fitness Fusion down. I have struggled the last two classes but I think it was due to this "Ick" cold type thing I have and not from lack of trying. Granted they started us off today with Burpees this morning (better to start then finish with them!). I haven't notice too much of a difference but am enjoying it. Never though I would like getting up at 5am to work out at 6! Now if only I could start to notice the changes! I am a bit impatient I know. I just want my freaking jeans to fit a little better. I REFUSE to buy size 16 jeans again! I threw them all out and don't want to buy them. The 14s I have are just a little tight. Sooner or later they will get looser, I am just wanting it to be sooner!
I am staring to walk on the weekends as well because I have the flying pig 1/2 marathon I am walking in less than two months!!! eek! Got the schedule all worked out on when to walk and how long. Just have to kick it into high gear now!

    Have a good weekend everyone!

Happy March everyone! I love when we get to "spring forward" and set our clocks ahead. This is one of my favorite times of year when it's finally light in the evenings again and the weather is starting to get warmer. I'm looking forward to getting back on my bicycle, on the tennis court, and to our back yard to play badminton. Yay! In other news, my husband got a job and starts at the end of April. He's been unemployed for three years and had to go back to school to change careers when all of the jobs in his field dried up and started being outsourced overseas. It's been a rough road for him but he made it through. It will be nice to see him doing something he loves and for us to have 2 incomes again! Sounds like everyone's making good progress toward their goals. Keep rockin' it!

My march goals were to log everything I eat and drink, as well as hit certain macro goals

I have been doing SO AWESOME at logging everything! This weekend, I even logged my predetermined cheat days. I was over goal 3 times last week but logged every bit.

I am struggling with fiber and protein macros. It is difficult to eat those because I crave sweets and chocolate which is mostly fats and carbs. I am easily reaching my fat goal and have been doing pretty well reaching my calorie goal. months prior I would eat far too little for 3 or 4 days, then eat 4000 cals for another 4 days, it was a bad cycle.

I am trying to get more veggies and fruits in my food list, and making things at home (even cheese quesadillas, my favorite!!)

I recently learned that seitan is the BEST FOOD EVER because it has like NO fat -- its all protein and fiber. So you might try adding that to your cheese quesadilla (if you like quesadillas with meat in them) and that should be a lower cal way to boost up your protein and fiber and still leave you with room for chocolate.

    Hey Ladies,

I've kept my goal and have not smoked but I'm up 10 pounds. The pounds bug me but I'm still wearing a 12 so it's not time for a complete meltdown. Since I quit smoking, I gave myself a break on my eating but as of Saturday it will be 60 days so no more excuses for eating junk. My April goal is to get back on track and start dropping those pounds.

On a happy note...SPRING BREAK starts Monday but I took today and Friday off to get ready for my trip....AHHH:glasses:

    April goals
    no smoking
    log everything
    drop 5 pounds

V - Congrats on 60 days with no smoking! That is awesome! Don't fret too much about the 10 pounds. You will take them off. Your body is adjusting to not having the evil chemicals in your body. You have the right spirit of just re-committing. What helped me and still helps me when I am craving junk is gum. Keep up the good work lady!

My bootcamp comes to an end next week but I am signing up for the next session that starts the following week! I am a little frustrated because I feel better but swear I look bigger in the mirror! My inches aren't moving and neither is the scale. I am hoping tightening my diet and continuing the bootcamp will kick this in gear. I also have the 1/2 marathon in 6 weeks! eek!!!

Slowly but surely is what i keep trying to tell myself. I just wish this stubborn weight would give me a small boost of 5lbs down so I feel like I am at least accomplishing something! (and my clothes still don't fit right) sigh.

you and me both! just stay the course - eventually, your body *will* comply. i'm in the same boat - no loss since july! that's pushing on a whole year. bleh. but i *feel* so much better, and i am capable of kicking some major *kitten*, and recognizing that is key! so just keep truckin' - it will happen!!! :flowerforyou:

    Thanks :)

I am enjoying sunny CA right now & flew into Long Beach to visit a good friend. We have been going non stop since I got in Saturday. Yesterday was Sea World. Today is a chill day at home before we head out for a couple of days in Palm Springs. The weather is wonderful.hmmmm, I might have to rethink going back to rainy and cold WA.

    :-)
