Struggling!

Hello all...I'm currently still nursing my toddler 3 times a day, but I'm having a really hard time sticking to any plan! I have lost my pregnancy weight from my last baby but now I'm working on the 15 lbs I never lost after having my first. My main struggle is feeling hungry all the time. I add in the extra 300 for BF and have my calories set for 1 lb weight loss per week. I haven't stuck with it a week to see if I would lose...I have a few good days and then a bad one. Any advice is greatly appreciated! I know part of the struggle is I'm just tired all the time. I still wake up every night (my oldest has bad eczema and wakes up at least once) and my son wakes up at 5am every morning no matter what time we put him down ( 10 days til the time change and this will be 6am :> ) Thanks!

I only looked at the last few days, but it doesn't look like you are eating enough calories. You should be getting at least 1200 calories per day. I also noticed you drink a lot of your calories (coffee). Maybe try splenda and fat free half and half so you will have more calories for food. I nurse my toddler 2-3 times per day also. I am counting 75 calories but my daughter is nursing more for comfort because she is teething. She's definitely getting milk, but probably not 300 calories worth. If you are starving you should eat, you may just need to up your goal.0

I agree that you aren't eating enough. I would also cut out the coffee... Water works wonders! I have 3 kids under 2.5 my youngest is 3 months... I eat 2000 calories a day a try to hit that number everyday.
Here is how I calculate that (BMR 1385 x 1.375(exercise 2-3x week) + 500 nurse full time =2400 Cal
2400 - 500(deficit to lose weight)= 1900 calories a day...
I work out pretty hard 3xs a week so I have my calories at 2000 and so far it's working great!
The last thing you want to do is make your body think your staving and then your metabolism drops to 50%!!!
The other thing I do is I stop eating by 8pm and only drink water. If I were you I would eat atleast 1500 calories a day and be as close to that number as possible. If you are still hungry at 1500cal, drink a glass of cold water, wait 10 minutes and then eat yogurt or cottage cheese or something similar less than 100 calories. I also noticed you seem to crave chocolate... That usually means your deficient in magnesium... You might want to supplement that0 -
I agree with above posters! Definitely up your fluids, try eating at LEAST 1700 cals a day, incorporate more fruits and veggies, and take a vitamin. More importantly though, I would increase my protein intake. However, if you like your coffee, I would keep it. I like mine a certain way, and I just do what I can to make more room for it.0
