I hadn't seen a topic for March results, so thought I would jump on in.
I have now completed one week on the Olivia Method.
SW - with Olivia method: 163.9
03/02/12: 162.9
Down 1lb. Which I'm happy with as I kept hovering over 163/164 and am finally out of 163 even if it is .1 off!
I do have a question though, so many programs suggest a cheat meal. Are any of you taking a cheat meal? I need one, and well I'm taking one. However I aim for 300 deficit on my non-workout days and 1,000 deficit on my workout days. Typically I work out 5-6 times a week.

I too have completed one week on the Olivia method.
SW w/ Olivia Method - 134.6
03/01/12 - 134.00
I think this reading is wrong though because TOM came about 2 days before my weigh in plus some other details I am sure you people do not want to know about. So, I'm really not quite sure how much weight I lost on my first week. Can't wait till next week so I can get a more accurate idea of how much weight I've actually lost. I'm HOPING for 132.0 -
I'm glad to see results! I just started the Olivia Method yesterday!
Edited bc I forgot a word lol0 -
I was just thinking that a monthly weigh-in thread would be perfect here! I like tracking my progress, and I think it is best to do it here where others are doing the same method. Previously, I posted all of my weekly weigh-ins, but I think for previous months, I will just post my weight from around the first of the month, and then weekly during March. I am hoping to keep up my 6-7 pound per month loss over the next few months; I would LOVE to meet my 100 pound lost milestone by or before my one-year lifestyle change anniversary.
12.02.2011: 190.6 lbs.
01.03.2012: 183.0 lbs.
02.03.2012: 175.4 lbs.
03.02.2012: 169.0 lbs.
Here's to a great week everyone!! I will post a new weight on Friday.0 -
Awesome! So nice to see someone who has been at it for awhile with so much success.0

Great idea! We should call this thread the monthly kicking A** update! Lol
Here are my results... I have been averaging a 500-700 deficit most weeks...
Jan 1= 198.6 lbs
Feb1 = 191 lbs
Mar 1 = 183.4 lbs
I'm hoping to hit 175 lbs by April 1st... I know it is going to be tough...
I'm waiting for my Jillian Michaels Body Revolution to come in... I am looking forward to starting a new program!!!
Have a good one all!!!0 -
Thanks for starting this!
I've been on this method for one week as well and can't believe how my results are to the T.
SW: 139
March 5: 137.2
I'm averaging a deficit of 4154 calories per week, so my 1.2 loss is dead on!0 -
So far in March I have lost 2.6 pounds -- I really love this method it just makes so much sense to me and it is in black and white, you can see what your deficit is!0

Sooo, I forgot on Friday.... I have added my weight from both Friday and today. Friday I believe I was retaining a little water (TOM), but that seems to have fallen off now. I have been struggling a bit with my weight going up and down over the last couple of months. When I look back over the course of the last 3 months, things seem to be progressing, just slowly -- this is why I like to track. Sometimes I get too focused on the day to day numbers rather than the overall progression. I like to see how I fare on the scale daily, but I usually keep it in perspective...trying to get that perspective back...

I feel like I can't quite break through 169.0 lbs. I feel like I am logging accurately, both calories burned and calories consumed, I am drinking tons of water, and it doesn't seem to make a difference how much sodium I eat... This happened last month and all of a sudden, after hovering within a three pound range last month, I dropped 10 pounds in one week. I keep truding through, going up and down within this three pound range (lower than last month's range...lol) and hoping that I will break through like before. The only other thing I can think is that I am exercising too much, or my calories burned is not as accurate as I think... I am hoping to have a BM Fit or something similar by next month, so hopefully that will shed some light on everything. Until then, I am going to try to keep it up and be grateful that I am not gaining (beyond my 3-pound window anyway)...

Best of luck! You have done so great so far!!! Hang in there!!!! I'm hoping you drop down more soon!0 -

I've been hovering around 170-173 for about 6 weeks now. I have tried everything, more water, less calories, more calories, more exercise, less exercise. Now I am trying to do less carbs and see if that jump starts anything. I have about 20 more I would like to lose and I know it's going to be tough. I do look at the fact that I am losing inches. My once size 12 I was squeezing into are now getting comfortable. Could be the clothes are stretching, but I like to think I am losing those pesky inches! Keep at it!0
