weigh in rituals

Anyone else have any weird weigh in rituals?

I have a few and sometimes I think I'm thinking waaay to much into it. lol! first I have to weigh in before I shower because in my mind I think that the excess water from the shower will add to the scale. I also wont weigh in till I successfully use the ladies room. (I have convinced myself along time ago that I'll loose like 10lbs each weigh in if I do. Hasn't worked yet lol!!) And third I always find myself naked on the scale. :blushing:

    I wake, go to the bath room, take a pee, strip naked, get into the scale, get off, get into the scale a 2nd time just to be sure.

    lol I cant do it twice. I'm afraid it will be higher the second time and I'll have to keep doing it till I get to the original weight or below lol.

    Ha, never thought about it before, but I do have weigh in rituals. Creatures of habit aren't we?

    1. Get naked
    2. Use the toilet to minimise any extra weight ;)
    3. Check weight on scales - 3 times, just to be sure! (I don't know quite what to expect, but it's always the same each time!)

    Do it all again the next week. Always first thing in the morning and never check weight in between the weekly (currently Saturday) "appointments".

    I never thought of it as a ritual as such, but, like so many others, when I get up in the morning, have a pee and then step on the scales. Sometimes I do it twice, but not often now. However, once a week, I press the personal preset button and that gives me my body fat%, Water%, Bone density and BMI, but I'm only interested in my weight and body fat %.

    Sadly the scales went down and then back up this week... such is life and the flakey nature of weight loss, but no overall gains, so not that bothered (and if I say it to myself often enough, I might just start believing it :laugh:)

    well, lol.. i will wake up.. walk to the bathroom while doing this weird arm/neck stretch (i guess shaking off any extra weight).. go to the bathroom ... get naked and take a deeeeeeep breath, blow allll the air out... then step on the scale... then i'll take a hot shower, then do it all again ..lol..more for curiosity... i will always go by my highest weigh in... yeah i guess it sounds weird.. if i wash my hair i won't weigh in till its dry... just in case. lol

    Every time i'm naked i weigh. I'm not convinced that it's an obsession....really i think it's just an old but odd habit. I ditched the scale a little over a year ago and out of sight out of mind...i plumped right back up. So even though the scale and i have a love hate relationship i still weigh at least twice a day usually. For me....it's so much easier to lose 5 lbs than the 25 i'm struggling with now.

    Share scale with the roommate, so I always weight with at least briefs on in the laundry room. I only count morning weigh ins, but always weigh myself after long workouts.
