I find lot of people say to me "Is X gluten free?" Now I generally do know.

However, when I don't know if something might have secret gluten, I just google "Is X gluten free?" and read a few responses.

Why can't other people do that? Especially in these days of smart phones with browsers.

Most nonGF people assume that those who are GF know everything about what's GF and what's not. Since they don't have to follow labels and warnings zealously, they don't even realize that companies change their ingredients without notice so that 6 months after you discovered a safe food, it's no longer safe. It's such a different mind set to have to think about every single thing that you ingest - they assume that you have become a walking GF repository. If they're friends or coworkers, they WILL eventually Google things themselves. If they're relatives, well, they'll most likely ALWAYS count on you to do all the research. We choose our friends; we don't get to choose our relatives!

    Isn't that the truth!

I have a little saying in my mind. Because so many products say rather or not they are GF. "When in doubt, leave it out" of my cart.
