First week of challenge:

 My personal goal was to keep up my workouts, doing about an hour in one fail swoop. I worked out 6 of 7 days, and got about an hour in the majority of them. (I tend to forget I'm supposed to take a break a day here and there)

 I got in some sort of new fitness moves in, whether it be adding jogging to my walks, walking on terrain other than just the street (grass, gravel, trying to find hills, etc) and doing some power moves (lunges thrown in while watching tv)

 I made my 'strive for five' every day this week! Having that on the challenge has been so helfpul. Ladies, don't forget to count things like tomatoes in the sauce on your pasta.

 I had fun with the Fitness Fallacies this week, sauna suit and the study about how exercising it really dangerous for you. (better chances of getting hit by a car, struck by a lightening, bit by a dog if you are outside walking than if you stayed home on the couch). bwahahahaha

 Positive thoughts...sending good vibes to all my MFP pals for their daily efforts to exercise, eat, and deal with what life sends their direction.

:frown: Superpowers...mind reading.... Well, I didn't get to use that last week, my crystal ball seemed to be a bit cracked, so hopefully, it will be repaired this week!

Hope everyone had a good week! And if not, don't throw in the towel, we still have 3 weeks to make some positive changes!

XXXXOOO Yvonne

March is going well for me.

Strive for 5 is a breeze because I've been trying to eat 8-10 servings of veggies daily for a couple of years, so I trying to make sure I get 5 different fruits and veggies.

I am sticking with the Mad Abs Challenge, and although my abs are pretty mad, I'm doing it. The side planks were my new exercise for last week, and they are killers! My new exercise for the second week of March is ballet (found a series of workouts on Youtube), they are challenging and so far I'm only doing the warm up, lol.

I'm working on being positive, especially since I started March with a set back, but a few NSV's have encouraged me.

My mood control talent got a super workout last week. My daughter had an article rejected for publication and the reader's report was brutal -- that took A LOT of my very subtle talent and a huge dose of Starbuck's. Then my hubby tripped over our dog while walking her and has been in a funk about it, so I've hard to turn up the mood control power on the whole household.

Oh and my husband LIKED his birthday present (a really cool cane which arrived the day after he hurt his foot, lol), so that's a personal goal accomplished!

    Happy March, all!:flowerforyou:

How's everyone doing this month? I am finally focusing more on food again. (the right stuff). It's been a busy month so far, and the weeks seem to be flying by.

:drinker: Strive for 5 has been a huge success. While I achieve it mostly with fruits, it has helped me be more careful about adding some veggies to my daily intake.

 I am down 2 pounds since the 1 st. Let's hope this continues, as I am 1.6 away from where I want to be at the end of the month.

 I walked a 5K last Saturday and beat my record time by 3 minutes

 I have been adding new exercises to my normal routine, either adding jogging, or selecting different terrain, different routes (alleys, parks, etc.) this weekend the heavy weights (7-8 pounders) are coming out of the garage, and I'm going to add strength moves as my new exercise for the week.

I am so proud of everyone for sticking with it this month. Life happens and we just roll with it and figure out ways to keep our health in the forefront. After all, we have to be healthy ifmwemexpect to care for others, right?

Here's to another fantastic week. My super power is reading minds, and I can hear the overwhelming responses from you that you believe you can make little changes necessary to succeed!

Soo.......I haven't been logging. At all. So.....I'm dropping out this month and will try to log better in April.

BUT - anyone who makes their weight goal in March and is willing to give me their address, I'll still send them a Twilighty surprise :)

Ah Sykin, that's so nice of you. I hope you can keep at it, I know it can be challenging sometimes. Even if you can log some, its better than none.

    4th week...

:flowerforyou: Finally lost a tiny amount of .4 pounds. I will take everything I can get, er, uh, I mean lose.

 Have been doing lots of walking with the jogging when I can, really enjoy getting out there. I know I need to do weights to move to that next level, gain more muscle and lose more body fat.

 I've been eating my strive for five on a very consistent basis.

I did get some blueberries that were tasteless and mushy. I swear they must have been teleported by Jeff Goldbloom from one telepod to another during the movie "The Fly".

I hope everyone had a great week!! We're doing this!
