It's big news here in Central Texas since he was a Baylor Bear.
Hope he delivers considering that hefty price we had to pay.0 -
he really does seem like a great kid to boot. cant wait for next season!0

RG3 is coming to DC baby!!!!! That was my facebook status as soon as I found out about this last week! Finally, the Redskins have the chance to bring in a young, talented and exciting QB through the draft......we've been waiting a long time for this. While the draft info was rolling in about Luck and RG3 I kept wishing that we could have a shot at one of them.....
The price is high, but this kid is supposed to be comparable to Vick when he came out of Virginia Tech, except that he has a Heisman AND he's more mature. I can't wait to order my RG3 jersey..........GO SKINS!!!!!!

I just checked out an article on Yahoo sports called "This time, the Redskins got it right". There's a video of RG3 drawing up a west coast offense play and discussing different issues with Mariucci. This is a great interview. Check it out if you get a chance.0

wow ...losing 36 million in cap space becuase of loading up in the uncapped year. Goodell can suck it!0

Agreed. Goodell can suck it. But, after reading the fine print it looks like management has us in a good position even with the penalty. We only lose $18M in cap space this year, leaving us with approx $22M to spend in the offseason. Not too shabby......
What do you think about the Garcon/Morgan deals? Personally, I love the idea of bringing these young talented players to DC with a young QB behind center.

i agree. love the youth and dont seem like they are knuckle heads like VJ...he's 1 strike from a year ban right? with our luck...
dont blame Royal for looking elsewhere...time to get some line and shore up the D.0 -
Attitude is HUGE when it comes to team sports. Bringing in guys with good character, work ethic and previous success should motivate the younger guys trying to make a name for themselves. We def need some help in trenches, but I'm hoping we can find some talent in the draft. The highly rated linemen free agents have burned us in the past and the salaries that these guys demand never shows on the field.
Personally, I think that the Merriweather pickup is going to be huge for the D. He's a little reckless at times, but he's a playmaker. What do you think?
