Looking for split screen co-op games for Xbox 360

Hello Geek Gods and Godesses!

My boyfriend and I are just finishing up Gears of War 3 and will be looking for a new co-operative game to play. I would love to hear your suggestions :) The game must fit the following profile:

For Xbox 360
Split Screen Co-op campaign only
Must be able to kill stuff (sorry Portal fans... I have a need to work out aggression via death dealing)
We're both HUGE fans of Borderlands, so something along this style would be awesomesauce!

    I was about to say borderlands until i read the whole post. my boyfriend and I are split screen co-op fans too and i also love killing things!
    how do you feel about killing zombies?
    left 4 dead 1 and 2 and Resident evil 5 are co-op shooters but not exactly new.
    also the halo series.
    borderlands 2 is coming out at some point (I have no idea when but i put money down on it lol) so maybe you could look into that:)

    If you aren't killing your partner in Portal 2, you're doing it wrong. :D

    And I had no idea that BL 2 was going to be splitscreen. Heck, I didn't know BL 1 was splitscreen! I know what I'm doing this weekend.

    Left4Dead is splitscreen coop, isn't it? Not quite boarderlands, but still fun.

    haha I know, but Portal isn't co-op...right?

    Left4Dead is splitscreen, and we've played it :) I really hope you enjoy BL :) It's based on the Unreal engine, which made the combat portion of it very enjoyable. Also: guns that shoot fire, electric or poison bullets...NUFF SAID!

    Don't forget about the downloadable content...which can be accesses at any point in the campaign.

    My boyfriend and I have just started playing through Lord of the Rings: War in the North. Really enjoying that one as we're big fans of Fantasy RPG games and there's a LOT of stuff to kill too.

    Also Left 4 Dead is great fun - although it terrifys me!

    I would have LOVED Army of 2...but I kept running out of bullets and getting frustrated...yeah...I'm pretty trigger happy in a crisis situation... :)
