I have the pickiest eaters in the world, or at least I think so. When they were younger, they ate everything, but it seems the older they get { age 9 & 6 } the pickier they become. I was a picky eater as a child and I know that they will outgrow it, but in the meantime....I would love to try some out new options that will please the kids...and the grownups.

So, what healthy dinner will your children LOVE to eat???

My kids are younger and eat all day long, luckly both of them love fruit, wheat thins, yogurt, and cheese. My 1 y/o eats everything, but my 3 y/o is picker, he likes seasoned chicken breast on the foreman grill with peaches and broccoli.

I make BBQ pulled chicken in my crockpot and my kids LOVE it! Just take some skinless, boneless chicken breasts, a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce (or make your own if you really want to keep it super healthy), a chopped onion and put it all in the crockpot on low for 6-8 hours (or high for 3-4 hours).

About 30 minutes before serving it, take the chicken breasts out and shred with a fork. Put it back in the crockpot but leave the lid off and turn it on high so some of the liquid will absorb and the sauce will be thicker.

You can serve it on hamburger buns or tortilla chips for the kids. And if you want to keep it a little more healthier for yourself, you can eat yours on a whole wheat sandwich thin or whatever suits you.

Oh I also make mini meatloaves. They are super easy and the kids always want seconds!

Just take your meatloaf recipe and instead of making it in the shape of a loaf, make them in a muffin pan.

To make my meatloaf healthier, I use lean ground turkey, rolled oats (instead of bread crumbs), and finely shredded zucchini (you can use carrots instead if you like), along with regular spices, a dash of worcestire sauce, an egg and some ketchup on top.

Great ideas! We had a successful dinner last night, with no whining and clean plates!!! Turkey Burger Tacos!

I've also been asking them for ideas...hoping that if they are part of the planning we'll have better success!

I'm definitely gonna try some of these recipes!

My 2 and a half year old loves anything with teriyaki sauce. Tonight I made salmon broiled with a little sauce on top for a nice glaze, rice, and broccoli. She ate it up and the whole meal was under 400 calories!
