I'm new!

Hello! I'm Beth and I'm five months post-partum with my second son and struggling to find a good caloric range as an exclusively nursing mom. Any tips?

    Hi,

I have a 1 month old and am just getting started trying to lose the weight. I set my calorie range to lose 1 lb per week and then add breastfeeding as cardio burning 500 calories. That seems to give me a good calorie range where I don't get too hungry.

    Hiya!!

I also have a 5 month old (he was born 8th October) and am full-time breastfeeding. I've also gone for the 1lb a week loss and add breastfeeding to my log as food, it gives you 500 more cals/day. I have trouble eating that much, especially on days I exercise too! And so far, I've lost between 2 and 4 lbs/week with that setting! I keep waiting for the plateau to hit because I doubt I'll keep this pace up and I'm not trying to lose more than a lb/week, but there ya go. I suppose I've a lot to lose yet (44lbs to go still) so maybe it's just easier to lose weight at the start.

Best of luck with it!! x
