hi Ladies, Hope you are having a beautiful day. I have sat around in my p.j.s all day doing nothing. My son Justin and grandson A'Donte went fishing. I had thought about going too but log on here and seem to can't get off. :) Justin just called and said he was through with my grandson as he caught a carp about as big as he was. And he didn't catch anything. I had to laugh as I told him he was suppose to teach my grandson how to fish but looks like A'Donte is teaching his Dad. It is such a lovely day out I should get dressed and take my dogs to the park. But for some odd reason I am just lazy today. Babysat my grandson all week from2 till 11:30 so guess I am just enjoying the peace and quiet, sitting back relaxing. I do need to go make my bed tho as I had stripped it and washed the linen. But I will get it done before retiring for the night.

I am not hungry but do want something to snack on. Have been wanting some pop and chips. I just may get some too as I am having a turkey burger for dinner so I won't be over my calories. I have already ate and still have over 1000 calories left for dinner. So will not be doing any exercise today. Got a cherry cheesecake mix and thought about making it , but just don't want to as don't feel like fooling with it. Of course I could get my son Justin to come fix it. He loves cheesecake and he would eat most of it. All if I let him.lol I probably will wait and have it for dinner tomorrow. Let him fix it when we get back from church as he will be coming over for dinner.

Well I think I will get off here for now, get dressed and go by my brother Tom's house. and maybe to the store. I will be back later to see what's happening, check the group, post on my blog and post the rest of my food.

Oh , a question for everyone, I thought about keeping this group a small private one, so everyone will get to know one another better. What do you think? Public or private? If private how many members should we allow to join?

Hugs, Ann

Well I got my potato chips and wish I hadn't as I ate too many. But the good thing about it is I got the craving out of my system. Won't be wanting anymore for awhile as I don't eat them that often. My downfall is usually sweets. Can't have any sweets in my house as I will eat it till it is all gone, won't save any for another time or day. So try to stay away from them.

I have a friend who is dieting but she takes diet pills and is always talking about the food she has or going out to eat. Today when I talked to her she was talking about how much candy , cadbury eggs, butterfingers etc. she had and how she keeps it on hand all the time so she will have it if she wants it. Then talked about going to Penn Station today and getting a cheese steak and fries. She gets on to me about I need to lose weight and tells me how much she is losing. But what gets me is she will bring down snack bars, cake mixes and sweets to me. She even bought a homemade pineapple upside down cake ate a piece and then brung me the rest. She knows sweets are my trigger foods so I don't understand why she does this and is supposed to be my friend. I am beginning too get upset with her, it is almost like she is trying to rub it in or something. Guess I am just going to have to come out and tell her one day how I feel when she does this again. Or if not that just go on with the program I am doing and lose weight despite her and show her I am a winner and not a loser when it comes to shedding my unwanted pounds.

Is she really losing weight(can you notice a difference) sounds like she is trying to sabbotage(i cant spell) you and your efforts. She doesnt sound like much of a friend, real friends dont do that to one another. Sounds like she cant stick with it so she doesnt want you to stick with i.Why else would she bring you all the sweets next time she brings them to you throw them right in the garbage!(as hard as it might be,( i know i would have a hard time doing so) but do it right in front of her then mabey she might get a clue!!

Yes she is losing some but she goes to a doctor in the neighboring state and gets diet pills. She pays $100 a month for them . I can't afford that and besides I don't like taking any pills. Anyway that is a temporary fix . I got sense enough to know this is a life style change. When she quits taking the pills she will be right back where she started.
You may be right as maybe not even knowing she may want me to stay fat so she can feel better about herself and have something else to brag about or hold over me. HMmmmm! makes a person think.

If i could figure out how to send u one i would. My birthday was great all my kids were here only downside was my back went out.It was awful when the little ones wanted me to pick them up and i couldnt,My grandson just cried and of course didnt understand. About your friend I think i jumped to conclusions, I should have also said that mabey she is unaware of what she is doing and that you should talk to her and let her know how she is making you feel, if she is a true friend she will undersdand that your serious about your life changes and your choices. sorry if i came off cold hearted. you also talked about how many members we should have,I think your right about keeping it small I'm thinking around 50 members. there is one site that has close to 400 people. I think that might be a bit large to support that many people I'd be on the computer 24/7. Plus i like the idea of getting to know everyone on a more personal level, I think that would be great way to support and encourage each other. Where are you from anyway? I'm from riddle oregon,If you are passing by and blink you will miss it. I love the feel of a small town. I live in the country have two minature weiner dogs one is blind the other partially parilized. As i mentioned before i love fishing mostly bass. Lets seee. my husband is also on dissability he has congestive heart failure, now has a heart pump in and waiting to be put on the heart transplant list. we are a match made in heaven! (i know,I talk way tooooo much) I hope you have a fantastic day!!!

Good Morning Ladies or guess I should say afternoon since it is after 12. So far I am having a good day. Feeling motivated but I first got to get off this computer. lol I love this site so finding it hard to get off with so much to read and post. The sun is shining and the weather is nice. I want to gtet my floors sweep, dishes done and get out of the house , go somewhere and maybe even see about doing some walking. Then too I want to go to the YMCA and pick up a scheduale of their activiities. I do so want to start taking some water aerobics. Also want to check out CURVES and see if I would be able to do that. I have been procrastinating in that area. Not that I don't think about doing it guess I am just lazy and seem never to get around to it. I did get a permission slip from my Doctor to do water aerobics and got a appointment with her Thursday or Friday so I better start as she is going to ask me about it. Feeling good about losing 5 pounds this week so got to get busy so I can have another good loss next week.

Connie, I am glad you enjoyed yourself and so sorry it was somewhat ruined by your back going out. I can imagine what it is like not being able to pick up or hold your grands.
I so agree with you 400 people are a lot. I feel with a smaller group you feel more comfortable about sharing and you come to know one another better , thus able to really give the support each member needs. I am not close to you as I live in Springfield, Ohio. This is a pretty good sized town between Dayton and Columbus. I would love to live in the country or at least the edge of town. Country was what I wanted when I was younger as I wanted to have horses, chickens, rabbits and goats, plus a garden. Though I did have rabbits and chickens and a garden in my backyard here in town. My chickens all got away and one day my dogs tore open the cages and ate my rabbits . My husband told me I ought to have known better and talked about it lol He let me do what I wanted and always went along with me except he wouldn't let me get a pygmy goat. lol As I had written earlier we were married 47 years and he was my soul mate.
Connie you can't out talk me. When I start posting it sometimes looks like I am writing a book. lol

Oh boy ,am I in trouble. I have a luncheon date with a girlfriend and she wants to go to a Chinese buffet. They do have everything from all the Chinese foods , plus fried chicken and fish. You can even pick out your veggies, meat and take it to the grill and they will fix it for you. They do have sushi but I just can't make myself eat raw fish. I really enjoy eating there but don't know of anything I can eat that doesn't have a lot of calories.Guess I will stick to one plate instead of two that will help cut calories. But know there is still a lot of calories in the food so going to have to force myself to really do some extra exercise.
Today I am not going to be on here so much as got to go pay bills and got other things I want to do. Not going to post my food either as I have no idea how many calories I will be consuming. So have to count this as a cheat day or meal. And hope I don't gain from it as when I go to the Doctor tomorrow I want to have a good weight loss.
    Have a great day everyone,
    Hugs, Ann

I'm sure one cheat meal isnt going to make you gain, good luck at the dr anyway! Chinese sounds good, When I go out for that I always get the beef/broccoli or the kung pow chicken(hot) I'v noticed when i'm watching what I eat I tend to eat alot of foods with a lot more kick to it. Taking my computer in today hopefully can get it taken care of. I cleaned and defragged it myself, it helped some(i'm here) but not enough. 1/2 the tome it wont respond. I think I need a professional. Boy I went so over my calories yesterday and it was because we went to portland and it was an all day trip so for snacks I brought peanuts only had about 6 oz. through-out the day but they sure added up! Ann how did your dr app. go today? Hope all went well for you. Well better get here and get ready to go to computer shop, Will be back later today (I hope). Have a great day!! Hugs.

I went to the doctor today and all my lab reports weregood except my cholestrol. So now I have to take medicine for that. I wonder if losing weight it will also bring that down so I don't have to take any medicine. I haven't had to take any medicine only antibiotics if I got sick. So I am dreading this, having to take it all the time. I have seen my husband start out with taking medicine and before long he was taking a gallon freezer bag full of different meds. So I am going to continue to lose weight and pray and thank God for perfect health.
Had a physical today and the doctor found a knot in my breast so she ordered a mammogram, plus a bone density test and a sonagram of my thyroid. I am going to try and think positive that my mammogram will be alright. Hoping it is just scar tissue from where I had breast cancer 12 years ago when they did a lumpectomy. Just have to trust the Lord.
Had to take one of my dogs to the vet today as she has been sick. And her vet bill cost more than my doctor bill. But she did get 2 shots and 2 bottles of pills to take. Hers was over $100 and mine was less than $100. I have another dog that I need to take next month and get his rabies shot.
Talking about a bad day well needless to say when I went to lunch yesterday I ate all my favorites. Fried fish, 2 chicken wings, mashed sweet potatoes,2 beef loaf, mushrooms, baked potato, the spagghetti dish they fix, beef & broccoli and broccoli salad, 2 sweet bisquits and banana pudding.I didn't eat anything else the rest of the day and I did do a little extra walking.
I have a plan on what to eat the next time I go but am sure it will not be for a long while yet. I want to shrink my belly so I won't be able to eat so much. So got to get used to the cut in my calorie intake. The doctor wants me on 1500 a day and that is less than what this site says. And that is hard as I love to eat since I enjoy all types of food. :)
    Catch ya later.
    Hugs, Ann
