What has been going well? What has been a struggle lately? Let's motivate each other!! =)

  • I suck at staying under my calories on the weekend! I could be down like 6lbs, but I gain a pound back almost every time I go over my calories.

I think I need to start splitting my grocery shopping up to two times a week because by the end of the week, I don't have anything good left! Maybe I need to do part of my shopping on Sunday and part of it on Thursday? Does anyone else do this?

I did get up this morning and run for 17 minutes. Tonight, I'm going to get my clothes ready ahead of time! It was nice to have 180 extra calories before I even started eating today.

I suck on the weekends too - I would have had my last 5 pounds off a long time ago if I was faithful with my eating on the weekends BUT, I think the only reason this is working for me is because I am not denying myself. I get right back on track come Monday. Im trying to watch it a little more this month on the weekends since I am so close to my goal.
  • I just feel like my weight fluctuates so much. One time I step on the scale and I am down but the next time it has skyrocketed back up to the original number. It does this every week even though I keep my calories under by 300 or more each day and throw in exercise 6-7 days a week.

Weekends aren't to bad for me overall. I find I can get outside more now and as long as I keep my fridge stocked with fruit, I will eat that instead of other more fatty foods.

Weekends are really hard. I try to only have one "flexible" day, but I usually end up having two. Friday nights are also hard, because we sometimes go out for dinner.

I feel my greatest accomplishment is signing up for My Fitness Pal, after several months of procrastinating. My biggest struggle is being a mom of two young children and finding the time/energy to make all the positive changes I want to. I keep reminding myself it is a process and I feel like I am off to a good start.

My Fitness Pal has really helped me get re-motivaed and all of your posts/updates, keep me pushing to do better! Thanks My Fitness Pal friends! =)

I dont know how you do it with the little ones. Just know that you are headed in the right direction and dont beat yourself up.
  • Keeping up the exercise is getting easier to do - I'm loving the Chaotic Aquatic and walking a mile a day at school. I have vowed to stay off the scale since last month and I did until last Friday. Now I've weighed myself everyday since. Tomorrow I am going back to not checking because it's too discouraging to see it go up and down so much.
  • I am really struggling to get back into exercising. After being sick (and still coughing!) I just am having trouble getting back into the swing of things.

I would have to say that I love how clothes are fitting right now. I really need to buy some new capris, as my ones from last summer are so big that I can take them off without unbuttoning them!

I also ordered a bridesmaid dress and it was a full size smaller than the one I ordered earlier this year. To put the icing on the cake, the smaller size was even a little too big! Looks like I'll be paying for some alterations.

When I see Tim on the weekends, he tells me that he can definitely see a difference, so that's also a pretty big accomplishment, especially since I don't always see a difference in my own weight.

Erin: I completely understand the exercise thing. I takes so long to get into a routine of exercising and with one or two days missed, it is so easy to get out of that routine!

Find something you enjoy and ease back into it. I know I am motivated by the extra calories I earn with MFP when I exercise! Not sure if that is good or bad! =)

I have also noticed your weight loss and you should feel really proud of your accomplishments!! Keep up the good work...you are doing GREAT! =)
