Excess Skin

One thing I worry about losing a lot of weight is all the skin. I do know that drinking water restores the elasticity of the skin , but when you get older and have so much weight to lose what do you do? It won't restore it or shrink. That is one thing that has bothered me after I lose all the weight. I had actually dreaded losing weight as I didn't want a lot of skin hanging. I have seen people that had bypass surgery and had a lot of loose skin hanging. Anyone have this same fear or a plan?

I have the same fear but I would rather be healthy. I have huge arms and I know all that skin will just be flapping in the wind..LOL0

My arms are not really that big it is my thighs and belly. How can I have a flat stomach with all the skin from the belly? Also having trouble keeping it dry in the areas under my belly and breasts. It stays moist and sometimes gets raw. I have been using corn starch since I heard it was the best thing to use. But I hate it when the cornstarch rolls up in little balls. Oh, how I hate being fat and having all the problems that go with it. I so had wished I had listened to my husband when I was younger.0

I have a friend that lost 100 lbs, she claims she didnt work out and her yummy went flat, I on the other hand am not seeing much difference in shrinkage. I have lost 1and 1/2 inches in my waist. Scale says I am still not losing, think I will wait a couple of weeks to weigh again. But dont worry tho I'm sure as you lose inches you will start to shrink. Your doing fantastic!0

I sure hope so Connie, But like Debbie I am not giving up.I want to lose weight fast but believe I need to do it slow so some of the skin can shrink. Hoping my tummy will look yummy after I lose all this weight.0
