Ill ask here too.. it sure ain't like the old days but we still make cavazoones.. st josephs pants.. cici beans with honey....in a dough.. fried. anybody with me?

    I'm a convert and am not familiar with these traditions, but I'd love to learn some new ways to celebrate St. Joseph's feast for next year. :smile:

    sfinci... i think there are youtube videos.. sort of a cannoli filling in a cream puffy type pastry.. completely awesome. http://almostitalian.com/st-josephs-pants-cavazune/ the best yet..

    It's weeks later and I never did implement my plan to make cavazune filling and put them in won ton wrappers... that's a beautiful thing about mfp. cooking outside the box. i also want to try to wonton lasagnas...

    I loved when we went to Europe and celebrated both St. Patrick's Day in England and St. Joseph's Day in Italy. ANd such nummy food, too!

    that sounds killer. did you go to a spread in italy? I mean a sppprrreeeaadd? I was at one when I was about 2nd grade ( in the states) don't remember much about it , just that the table was sagging with food and a lot of it was strange to me. and please share with us what they did in england for st patties day?
