Hi Ladies!

I just joined the group and am super excited to be part of a group with so many women getting married this summer. I cant wait to get to know some of you better. How are your wedding plans going?

So I am getting married in 14 weeks! We are having a destination wedding on June 27th. We are heading off to Mallorca, Spain with about of our 40 friends and family. Very very excited. I still have LOTS of planning to do. And feeling a little stressed about it. I am just super happy that I finally got our invites out last week (I am an art director so I kept changing the idea but I am super happy with the results).

So my next big step is the dress! Oh my the dress! Time is getting tight. I have been out looking and found nothing that I like so I think I am going to design my own dress. I have an appointment with a tailor/designer next week. I hope that together we can make my dream dress come true.

Now... I have about 15 pounds to go. I understand that tis is getting close to impossible. Since I have been loosing at a slow pace lately. What are your goals? Will you be able to make them? How are you keeping them in check?

I feel a little freaked about being so far off from my goals when I need to sort of decide on my dress.... like now! I know I can make it bigger and have it taken in but I am scared that it will not look as good as if it were made to size at once. Any thoughts?

So far:
I have lost 7.4 kg (16 pounds)

My goals:
- Workout for a minium of 30 minutes 6 days a week.
- Switch up running and weights (every other day).
- Eat 4 times a day.
- Sleep a minimum of 8 hours a night.
- Allow one cheat day a week (but that does not mean go crazy)
- Try to keep calories between 1300-1500 a day.
- Weigh in once a week
- Take photos and measurements once a month.
- Drink lots of water.
- Try to eat less carbs and more protein.

If I stay strict to the above I hope to:
1. Tone up
2. Loose a minimum of 10 pounds (would kill for the 15).
3. Feel stronger, walk taller, be healthier.
4. Look smashing on June 27th.

I need to pick it up and I really would like some motivation from other brides to be (grooms, bridesmaids or anyone that has some goals set for the summer of 2012). So if you are looking for new friends please do feel free to add me!

Lets get motivated!
Joanna (picking it up a notch)

hey! I'm getting married in 12 weeks!!! June 23 in England!!!

I have the dress but it is TIGHT! I had to suck it in to zip it up and my arms didn't look that great in it -- which is why I'm on here! (Actually, I kind of hate the dress now...but if I'm going to wear it, I'm going to make sure I look good in it!)

We also have so much planning left to do! Very stressful.

My goal for the wedding...I'd love to lose 15 more pounds, like you! Probably not possible. But maybe? I'm going to start weight-training in two weeks time (only do cardio now). I also want to do the 30 Day shred (can't begin for a few more weeks as well -- moving countries).

So far I've lost about 3 kilos.

Oh super exciting! wait so if you are 12 weeks away from getting married that probably means i am 13 weeks since I am June 27th! oh my. Do you hate the dress cause you dont think it fits well (now) or just not happy with the dress?

I am scared that 15 pounds might be hard but I think that it might be doable. Just need stay on track. I want a minimum of 10 but would love 15.

So happy you added me. Lets work on the countdown together. And tell me when you are ready to start the 30 day shred. I might start with you.

Moving countries and getting married in 12 weeks?! From were to were?

    we can so this!

moving from Beijing, China to London! Big changes! Alright, let's do this!

Going to eat a candy bar now, though...it's my birthday. It looked good. I'll just run hard on Sunday.
  • I'm a June 23rd bride as well, in Texas. I've been working toward the same goal for what seems like forever, even before I met my fiance, so my goals are less wedding day oriented with the exception of toning up my shoulders/arms/back to look good in a strapless dress.
I'm about 10 pounds off from my goal weight, and I believe that is doable as long as I stay on it. But I don't want to put so much pressure on myself when there is so much else going on between work and school and wedding plans. I want whatever I do now to be sustainable so I can stay fit and healthy long after the wedding.

I am with you! It is hard when there is so much going on... work, wedding plans and I have a little son that is almost 14 months, a design and lifestyle blog and then the weight loss / toning up. There are not enough hours in the day! But I am motivated... just need others to keep myself on track. RM- I will send you a friend request!

My wedding is June 16th!! And I also have like 15 pounds to lose.. which I think is impossible. I'd be happy to get down 10... but yeah!! Congrats! Your destination wedding sounds awesome. Ours is a beach wedding/destination for most people..and we're going to have about 30 friends and family there!
