Vitamins - Do you take them and if so, what?

I'm really bad at taking pills of any kind. It has nothing to do with not being able to swallow them. I just don't like taking pills. Thankfully I don't need to take any prescription meds. My husband takes a huge handful of various vitamins, cinnamon, acai, and fiber pills everyday. I'm not so sure that's the healthiest thing to do.
I've been thinking of adding a daily multivitamin to cover if I come up short with certain nutrients particularly calcium. I see my mother who has a nice hunched back due to osteoporosis. What are your thoughts? Do you feel healthier by taking your vitamins?

I took Flintstones chewables as a kid, and my mother always swore by megadoses of vitamin C. I was a picky eater, and she was just trying to keep me alive. I still don't like to eat my vegetables, and barely meet the minimum requirement, so I take: Centrum, Caltrate +D (recommended by both my Internist and OB/GYN), Vitamin C, and Osteo BiFlex. The Osteo BiFlex keeps me walking without pain in my feet and knees. Since losing 14 pounds, I feel better, and my hope is that the more weight I lose, the less pain, and maybe I could stop taking that.

Is Osteo BiFlex - over the counter? My leftt foot has been throbbing for the last several months. I just attributed it to getting older. If that works for you, I may try it. I have hip issues as well. Anything that could help joint pain go away would be wonderful.0 -
It is over the counter. I swear by it. It takes a while to work so you have to keep taking it and give it time to kick in. I also discovered that the generic is not as effective. So, I buy the expensive name brand now, and I haven't had any real issues in a couple of months. I hope it works for you!0
