Figured this would be interesting even though everyone is different. How many calories do you eat a day? Post your height current and goal weight and estimated activity. Maybe this will be helpful for everyone thinking " wow, thats too many calories".

I average 1940ish per day- averaged out per week. I usually have a large out to eat type meal once week.

    Height- 5'5"

SW 226 (started MFP at 199)
    CW 182
    GW 135
    TDEE 2400ish

I am only losing about 1/3 pound per week and that loss has only been showing up on a monthly basis. I will gain and lose the same couple of pounds for 3 weeks weeks out of the month and then bam I've lost a couple. I'm sure its a hormonal thing.
I would like to lose faster but I feel like this way is actually teaching me to eat in a way that I can maintain for the rest of my life!

Caveat in that I need to re-calculate my numbers because I'm planning on starting exercising (was supposed to start today, but got sidetracked early on).

    I'm female, 5'3.5", medium+ frame size.

    SW 175
    CW 171
GW 140-ish (I'd be reasonably satisfied at that weight, but might want to go as low as 132)

I calculated my activity level as close to sedentary as I could. I'm losing less than a pound a week, but it seems very maintainable. It's just a bit depressing that according to MFP's daily calculation it is going to take 88 weeks to get to my goal weight, lol.

TDEE 2018 (chose mod active because I exercise 7 days a week either Chalean Ex/TurboFire or Jog/walk treadmill. Average about 350-400 exercise calories a day per HRM)
    BMR 1402
Goal calories to eat Gross - 1750

I still haven't figured out if this is right for me yet. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I stand and walk at work so I consider myself 'lightly active'.
Outside of work, I've barely exercised ... just a few walks here and there.

I'm eating 2000+ nearly every day.
Last week, my daily average was 2400 and I lost 2.2 pounds.
Since Sunday, I've lost an additional 2.6 pounds!
I calculated my calories using the fat2fit radio site (as per Helloitsdan's info).
It has me eating 2140 to reach 190 lbs. (it wouldn't let me plug in a lower goal weight but that's a fine goal for now anyway)

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I could eat 2000+ calories AND lose weight.
It tells me that A. I was seriously underestimating how many calories I was eating to be this weight and B. I was underestimating my daily activity level.

    Cheers to eating more! :drinker:

My BMR is 1616 and my TDEE is 2170. I just upped my calories on MFB from 1500 to 2170 and am slowly increasing. I'm up to about 1650 a day and yesterday took in 1815. I'm lightly active but plan increasing my activity level which mean I'll have to recalculate.
