Yay! I hope I don't gain it all back tonight. We're taking the kids to the South Texas State Fair. Lots of Fried things on a Stick to choose from. I'm going to try to control myself, but fried Oreos are soooo yummy! Good luck this coming week, girls! :flowerforyou:0

OMG. Fried oreos sound amazing...0

They are! I ate 1 tonight! Just one. & 2 bites of a fried Twinkie! And a giant dill pickle stuffed with ham and cheese! I know it's not the best food choices in the world, but the Fair only comes once a year! I deserve that! Now, I have to deal with the consequences of all that sodium and grease. I will be jogging and doing elliptical tomorrow! lol0 -
Honestly? Who cares if they aren't the greatest choices! It's a fair! It's not like you will never be eating junk food ever again! It's moderation. I never would have stuck this out for as long as I have if I could only eat healthy 24/7. Just last night I ate cupcake icing right out of the piping bag... Lord. lol. But I'm not a fat slob because of it, and I'm not a failure either. Life is too short to not indulge from time to time. It's all about the balance0

You're right! And that's what I've had to learn these last few months. & one if the main reasons I've been successful this time and stuck it out. Thanks for the support! :flowerforyou:0 -
Hey Guys,
Just wanted to give the group a little update.
I haven't been sleeping... for a long time. I have only just keyed in to the fact that it could play a large part in my weight loss. Anyway, I am currently at the stage where I am struggling to drive, function at all at work, etc. This means that I haven't been able to do anything in the form of exercise lately. I'm flat out exhausted. It's too bad really, as that lifting routine was becoming killer. My doc is on vacation and I have an appt with her when she gets back (Tues).
What this all comes together to say is... I am not caring about my weight until I get this under control. I'll still weigh in and stuff, but it's become a back seat priority. I don't have the ability to make it my focus right now.
I felt like I needed to share this incase the number keeps going up... like I need to convince you that I haven't given up or anything, you know? I'm still with ya, just in a semi-comatose, zombie like awake state.
Keep on truckin'0 -
So sorry, Jersey! I have been where you are. I have battled insomnia for years. Luckily, since I began this journey, sleep has come more easily. I guess it's because of all the exercise. I still don't get the amount of sleep that people consider normal, but it is a big improvement. I hope you get it under control and find balance for it all. Take care of yourself! :flowerforyou:0

Starting Weight: 154.8
Week 1: 153.8
Week 2: 155.2
Week 3: 152.6
Week 4: 156
Week 5: 152.2
Week 6: 155
Week 7: 155.4
Total Challenge Loss: +.6
End of challenge goal weight: 145 lbs
Weight loss remaining to goal: 10.4 lbs
Well, the number's definitely going the wrong way :grumble:
On the left, I am okay with this. I have likely reached a weight sustainable through healthy eating. Now I just have to turn to exercise to keep fit. Easy, Peasy, right?!
You'd think so.
On the right, I am keeping the "what if''s" at bay...BARELY.
I know that I need to get off of my *kitten* and get active or this whole thing could've been for nothing. Why can I not make myself do this?!
I keep telling myself that it'll be easier when the weather gets better...BULL****!
That's an excuse if I ever gave myself one. Still, even knowing this, I find it hard to get off of my *kitten* and do anything other than walk my dog and perform a few abdominal exercises.
I'm not writing this to say poor me, my weight loss journey is so hard. My weight loss journey has been fairly easy! I'm doing it because writing it makes it real to me. I can't get away from it, it's right there in black and white.
Maybe, just maybe, it'll be what I need to get it in gear!0 -

Hang in there - we all have our rough times! Still trying to get myself back on the losing track too - I'm kicking myself for not switching over to maintenance. When I hit 136.5 I should have called it done... but had my sights on 130 and then ended up gaining to 141 and plateau'd there! I've now revised GW to 135, once I get there again I'll stop and work on maintenance. BTW I'm only 5'2.5" so those are not low numbers for my height0 -

Biggest struggle: Not eating 2 bags of Fried Oreos! I had self-control. Just 2 cookies.
I am right on track. If I continue to lose just 1 lb. a week, I will reach my Summer and Final Goal!!! I am soooo excited! I hope I can keep it up. Let's do this, girls!0 -
