Pronation and tendinitis

Developed what may be tendinitis in the outside part of my left foot. XRays done, and there is no damage at all. Some rest, ice, and naproxen are helping.

Now for trying to figure out what may be causing it. I run around 20 miles a week. Possible self diagnosis on my foot pain. I think I might be underpronating enough that its causing the pain. There is more wear on the outside part of my left running shoe than the right. Now to try to work on correcting it. Do I sound like I might be in the right ballpark?

The more stuff I'm reading about under-pronation, the more it sounds right. Tight Achilles? Got it. Tight Plantar Fascia? Thats me too. IT Band needs extra strecthing? Me as well.

I may need to get some different shoes as I think my shoes now are more for over-pronators.

You should go check out fleet feet. They have them up in your neck of the woods....http://www.fleetfeetbaltimore.com/retail/fit-process.

They will take a video of your stride and reccomend the best shoes for whatever the video shows. It has revolutionized my running. I always use to have issues in my ankles and feet, but after I went there and got the shoes they recommended, I have been 100% pain free.

There is a Road Runner sports down by me that has the same set up. I think I'm going to give them a try. The store I got my current shoes from didnt have a treadmill.
