Okay, I read an article yesterday that we ADULTS not the kids, but we the adults do not even eat half of the servings of fruit and vegetables we are suppose to daily! Gasp! So we need to try harder to get it in...I know we have heard this countless times before but it needs repeating! Try to get your fruit and vegetables in and I man whole fruit and veggies not just juice!
Put in salads, baked potato, quiches, omeletes, soups, breads, smoothies, meatloaf, tomato sauces...I can go on but get it in starting NOW!!!!
More so pack it for lunch, make little sandwich bags with baby carrots etc so we can get them in on the go! We as health professionals need all the energy and power we can get to make it thru the day of hard work! Brain power and we can get that from the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other poly-somethings that can help us stay powerful to make change and help those who are weak.
