WHAT's YOUR PLAN THIS WEEKEND?

Well, here it is Friday already! Have you got a plan for staying on track this weekend? Weekends (in the beginning at least) can always present a little problem for me. I get sidetracked, or let something surprise me and if I don't have some sort of contingency plan, I get derailed really fast.

This weekend I have several things going on and I'm already thinking on how to avoid difficult situations regarding food.

(1) Going out with hubby tonight to a very nice buffet at Windcreek Casino. My plan is to have a really big salad first, then a plate of veggies (iced water to drink). I want to have a little steak and shrimp but I'm saving that until last so I will eat smaller portions. I don't like their desserts, so I won't get in trouble there. I will log my food using my cell phone on MFP so I won't be tempted to snack after I close out my log for the day.

(2) Tomorrow morning is our boys' first T-Ball game, so I am taking my own snacks for that. We will probably eat lunch out afterward, and I've requested Subway so I can get a good salad and try to stay on track.

The rest of the day shouldn't be out of my control; and we plan to eat all of our meals at home on Sunday as well.

Hope you all have a great weekend!! Stay in contact -- having 'buddies' is the best way to stay "clean" and do the right thing towards changing your life! (HUGS) ~ karen

Buffets are dangerous for me... I was brought up in a household that insisted you get your money's worth (and the starving Armenians schtick, too)... needless to say, everyone was overweight.

My saving grace - I love peel & eat shrimp. Slows you down a bit, and you can eat quite a few without going over your numbers. So, shrimp stations - lookout!

For me, this weekend is mostly housework, and hiding from the leftovers in the fridge...

We changed our plans due to being tired - and we wanted to get some sleep before the T-ball game tomorrow, so we went to Buffalo Wild Wings and I actually did pretty well. I wasn't really that hungry actually, and found it hard to eat too much. I was a little (okay, a lot) nervous about the buffet. So we saw Wrath of the Titans in IMAX 3d.

haven't tried that place (but I've seen their adds)... now, Wing Stop - that's my weakness. But 2 of their 'gliders' make a pretty good meal, without breaking the calorie bank.

We should have done wing stop. Buffalo's is really slow on service. It would have been great if we'd had more time but we had to ask for a go box when they delivered our food.
