Being a nurse can be stressful!

Ok, I know that stress comes with the territory. We didn't become nurses just to sit at the nurses' station in our pressed whites! :} Just wanted to hear what some of my fellow nurses do for stress relief after a long shift. Personally, I LOVE hitting the heavy bag while picturing the face of one of the doctors that found a way to make my job so much easier that day. (please sense the sarcasm in that statement!) So speak up... I can't wait to read these responses!

I like to hit the gym after work and, unfortunately, find the need to vent a little when I get home. Luckily my sweetheart is a nurse too and he usually has a little venting to do himself.

Lucky you! At least your husband understands what it means to be a nurse. My husband is a firefighter, and can't understand why I don't always get my two 15 minute breaks, let alone my 30 minute lunch break!
