My name is Mechell. I am just learning to ride and am loving. I am still pretty nervous and God bless him, my husband has the patients of a saint..........most of the time. I have a 2007 Yamaha Virago. It's just a 250 for now but I plan to eventually be on a Harley. Nothing like straddling an 800 lb vibrator, right! I rode with my husband on his Harley for years until his health reached a point that he had a hard time riding a passenger, especially on long rides. He would have a tough time holding the both of us up at the end of the day. So, my first mission was to lose weight so I could keep riding with him and maybe make it easier. Then I thought to heck with that and decided I wanted my own. He was thrilled as all men think women on bikes on HOTT!!! So now I want to be totally hot on my own bike. We are headed to Panama City Beach for the Thunder Beach rally in May. We love it! Missed it last year due to his health. My motorcycle goal for now is to be good enough and confident enough to ride my own around down there. If not he will be able to ride me while there since it's mostly short trips. If I do ride down there, I want to look so good that if I do happen to crash I will overhear the following, "Dude!!! Did you see that totally hot chick just crash the hell outta that bike!?!" ........................that's my story in a nutshell, how about you?

I love it that you took the initiative to get your own ride! The more you ride, the better you will get and the more confidence you will have in your own abilities. Be safe and keep the shiny side up!
  • Hi everyone, my name is Paula.

Love it love it love it....I'll definitely have to show my husband this post. Me on the other hand, I'm fine on the back! We had a trip planned to las Vegas via Route 66 in just a few weeks but my husband changed jobs so one of our vacations had to go on back burner...11 day bike trip or 7 day cruise...hmmmmmmmmmmm.....Cruise won. Anyway one day I will get to a rally. Maybe we will be able to join you at one. P.S. I did tell my husband if we won lotto I would buy a TRIKE.

I like to ride B*itch as they say... wrapping my legs around the man I love is my little piece of heaven!! We have an "02 FatBoy...LOW BLACK CHROME AND LOUD!!! Its a beauty and PAID FOR!! I grew up running around the Harley shop as a kid from birth to about 14 yrs old....then my daddy started playing music and he still rides....so I guess you could say I went from the gas tank to the back seat and stayed there....I like the freedom of the ride and how the world looks and feels different from the back of my Harley.... There really is nothing else like it. If I were to die on my bike they could say I died doing something I loved. BIKER FOREVER!!!
  • I agree...we just replaced both tires I'm just happy they needed to be replaced prior to me....I have a picture of our bike on my profile. We've only had it for a year and a half now but didn't have much time to ride before. I'm sure we will be riding tomorrow. I love when we cruise the beach. My husband has music hook up on it so we listen to good ole riding music. We do have a bad habit some might think....we are guilty of purposely going through the casino parking garages to set off alarms. That is so much fun.
  • This weekend looks to be a beautiful weekend on the horizon and we probably won't get to ride. Since my radiation treatment is on Friday at this point don't know 100% if I will get to go home or have to stay overnight. Then probably won't be able to ride shotgun with my husband. So when yall are out riding this weekend, think of me laid up in the bed being miserable because I am stuck inside!!!!!!! Maybe I can lay out on our deck by the pool...might be a good trade-off. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.......
  • So I did my first ever bike event this past weekend...Spring Fling Poker Run. I must say it was interesting. There weren't many riders (about 45) , I guess to a date change because of weather the weekend before, but it was still a lot of fun for me. bring on the next one!
  • I just wanted to hi to everyone. I am new to this but I love to ride and my hubby just bought me a 2013 HD 883XL Iron for our Anniversary. Have a great day.
