Has anyone ever been involved with Tall Club International (http://www.tall.org/)?
If so, what have been your experiences?
I love the tall ladies of MFP, but I am looking to meet more tall people in real life.

My mom and dad met at a dance put on by the Hi-C's (C for Cincinnati-ans.)0

I belonged to the San Antonio Tall Club 20 years ago, then I met my 6'4" husband (outside the club). I took him to one Tall Club event and the other women swarmed on him like he was covered in syrup. He enjoyed himself, but I quit the tall club soon after that because I wasn't about to share!! LOL0

I went to two gatherings in the San Francisco bay area. They were awkward. I really had nothing in common with these people except for the fact that they were tall0

I have been a member of Tall Persons Club GB for years. When I first joined I went to a few social events and loved it. I found it helped me a lot when I was feeling pretty uncomfortable with my height. It made me finally drop the feeling of being a 'freak'!
Unfortunately none of the TPC events take place near where I live so it is hard to get along to anything. Which means that when I do make the effort I don't know anybody and it is awkward and not much fun.
Luckily I am getting more confident as I age and I don't feel the need to stand around with fellow six-footers any more!0
