Beyonce lost her baby weight in 2 weeks!

I recently read an article about Hollywood moms who immediately bounced back from their baby weight in a few weeks, regardless of what they gained. Some reportedly gained 70 lbs. and more.

As a result, many new moms hear about how celebrities lose their baby weight quickly and feel discouraged. Especially when the media and society places such expectations on new moms everyehere.

The problem with these articles is that they never report the full story, the process or the 6-man-team that made it happen...only the results.

OK...now let's put this in perspective.

Hollywood moms often have personal chefs. These hired hands run the kitchen, make their meals and watch the caloric content of everything celebrities eat. Today's new mom is lucky if her mother comes over with a casserole:) We must still cook for families and find time to grab some crackers between breastfeedings. So unless you have a personal chef, you are probaby doing the best you can.

Hollywood moms often have personal trainers. These fitness gurus develop workouts geared specifically to mould a star's body and are hired to come to them at their house. Today's mom often has to join a fitness class where she can bring her baby and that is only if the weather is nice out :) Sometimes, she is too tired to exercise all together from all of the other responsibilities.

Hollywood moms often have nannies. So they actually get a full night's sleep and wake up refreshed to exercise in the morning :)

Hollywood moms have been known to have tummy tucks immediately following their c-sections.

Hollywood moms also wear fitted undergarments (like Spanx) to make them look more svelte.

Now, I am not taking any glory away from the weight loss of celebrities, as all weight loss should be celebrated. I am just saying that once again, the media and society sets up unrealistic expectations on today's woman and we end up feeling bad about ourelves because we have not attained the same goal.

Little by little, our weight will come off in a way that is healthy for us and fits our lifestyle.

We should be proud of all we do in a day and still make time to take fitness and healthy eating seriously :)

Way to go ladies!

this is a common misconception....its actually not possible to get a tummy tuck with your c section because of the way the muscles are stretched and moved...for best results you are actually supposed to wait a minimum of 9-12 months after having the c section/vaginal birth.

the rest of it i totally agree with i just really hate this because its so far from true and can be dangerous to perpetuate.
