My first POF date

You heard right ladies and gents. Soooo the one decent guy I've communicated with so far on POF asked yesterday if a, I'd like his number and b, if I'd like to meet sometime soon. I said yes, and yes. We texted back and forth for about an hour or two, decided Thursday that we'd meet at the driving range, hit a few golf balls, then go get dinner. Weeeellll I asked which driving range, he said call to discuss. I asked when, he said "818 PM" lol it was like 819 when I got the text.. so I called.. and the next thing I knew it was past midnight! Holy *kitten* we talked for almost four hours. Within that four hour conversation, I said something along the lines of "Man, wish I could meet you tomorrow instead of Thursday. I don't want to wait because I'm impatient" or something, and he kept using it against me and we set up a lunch date for today. Well not really a date, we'll both be in uniform (he's a marine, I'm in the air force).
It was kinda cute.. he would say crap like "Well IF, you just cannot wait to see me on Thursday, and if YOU want to, then I GUESS we can meet up for lunch tomorrow," being silly and admitting to the fact that he was using what I said against me. :P It's hard for me to explain lol. So anyway, this is this third night in a row this week I've only got four hours of sleep, but damn I'm excited. He's smart, types well, we have lots of phone chemistry, he's hilarious, and according to his pictures he's very handsome, tall, and well built. :O I can't wait!
Kinda funny the first time he sees me I'm not gonna be all dolled up though. Lol.

I won't tell you it'll be okay.. because it won't. It will actually get worse as it gets closer. And during lunch you're going to be nervous too.. but then there's a point (hopefully) where you just snap and start feeling comfortable.
I was a shaking mess with Smiley. Even in other dates that I wasn't as excited about, I was nervous and would sit in the car for about 2 minutes taking a deep breath before lol.0 -

Good luck! I am in a relationship with a man I met on POF and it's going very well so far. It's been about three months. I had met others from Match, but he was the first from POF, so maybe the first time will be the charm for you too!0

Welllllll.. I think it went pretty well. We met in the parking lot of the commissary (he's not allowed to go off base in uniform), we said hi, shook hands, I talked about my great grip strength after he complimented my handshake lol, and we got some sushi and bottles of water and went back out and sat in his car and ate.. and talked till he had to go back to class. I was smiling and laughing the whole time and he was too.. as far as compliments paid each other, I told him he looked good in uniform, and he looked better in person than he did in his pictures.. and oh man DID HE. Tall, very nice build, very attractive and manly face (the whole rigid jaw line and cheek bone structure thing), and he's like swooning attractive. Lots of chemistry for me.
He said I looked good in uniform and I had beautiful eyes. No kisses or hugs when we left cuz of the uniform thing.. but we're still on for tomorrow, so that shows he's still interested right?
He texted me afterwards asking if he met or exceeded my expectations, and I said "Definitely" then a few minutes later asked, "What about me? I promise I look better with my hair down :P"
He hasn't responded yet but he went back to class at 1230 so I'm pretty sure he can't use his phone till 3. Ugh the suspension!!!

I'm just a little nervous because he's a super nice guy. Like he told me he met a chick from POF and she looked nothing like her pictures, but he still took her on a date anyway because he's a nice guy. So I don't want tomorrow to be a pity date. He did say he had a hard time not staring at my eyes though. I'm such a negative nancy when it comes to men.0 -

But he probably didn't text her after the date asking what she thought of him. That would have opened it up for her to ask the same thing (like you did) and he would have had to responed with something. Guys don't like to be put into situations like that.0 -
